i have tried to use my New maps on the IOS 6 and the turn by turn navigation is no way as easy to use as people have displayed in Youtube videos and stuff i have no voice in the maps and it doesnt redirect me at all has anyone else had this problem on the iphone 5??

Siri has it's own volume control. Try tapping the volume up button after starting your turn by turn navigation.
hi thanks for your reply however when i tap the volume control it only says ringer so im guessing there might be a porblem with the programme it self?
Tap volume up after you tap start on your turn by turn directions. (Once you set the volume control to a higher level you won't have to do this again.)

When you start Siri, can you her her/him talking?
no nothing thats what i mean just completly silent
i can hear siri and use it but map no voice at all
Ok, try force-closing the Map app: from the home screen, double-tap the home button, locate Maps in the list on the bottom, tap and hold it until it wiggles, tap ➖ to close it, tap the home button again. Try turn by turn again, any change?
One more thing, go to Settings>Maps and make sure Navigation Voice Volume in not set to No Voice. (Sorry I didn't mention this earlier; iOS 6 is new to all of us.)
Stupid question probably but your putting in a destination and routing from current location? And you have a 4s or a 5?
nah i definetly have it set to normal voice i have checked all settings and everything even went through the manual to see if i was doing something wrong. i have the new Iphone 5 which came with ios 6 out of the box

Guess if I were you at this point I would make an appointment to have it checked at the genius bar at a nearby Apple store. Be sure to back it up first in case they have to replace it.
Unless I misunderstood something, the OP is getting turn by turn, just no voice.
Thanks Ocean20 your link to the "which features are and aren't availaable on a country by country basis, solved this issue for me. Turn-by-turn works in Australia at the moment but with no voice directions. It's coming in October, apparently.
