OK. I get that I'm not able to get turn-by-turn audio directions over Bluetooth in my Toyota Camry. But I want to use the car speakers instead of the phone speaker. So I plug the phone headphone output into the AUX input of my system. When I start a new route, the audio on the car speakers is VERY low and kind of noisy and distorted, and I have to crank the volume WAY up to hear it. I've found that if I turn on music from the phone, the music volume AND the navigation audio are both at a decent level and both sound very good. But if I don't have the music on also, the nav audio goes way down and gets crappy. How can I get a decent audio level out of the phone without having to have music along with it???
Turn up the volume using the volume buttons on the phone while using the navigation app. The volume settings for each app are independent, so you can have a different volume setting for each app.
Thanks, Lawrence. I'll give it a try.
Worked beautifully, Lawrence. Many thanks.
I have not read this whole thread, but my phone navi software gives turn by turn over Bluetooth just fine. I have not tried the native iPhone app but motion x gps works .
checking https://www.hyundaiusa.com/BlueTooth/ site for compatibility
iphone 5s is NOT in the compatible list yet, with Hyundai Sonata bluetooth system (i checked for 2011 models).
it shows, it is under testing.
If your iphone 5s bluetooth is working with Hyundai Sonata, you are probably lucky 🙂.
This is a great post! I am an Apple Technical Specialist and this is the best way to solve all Mazda Bluetooth issues! If attempting to pair the device via on screen controls and unsuccessfull the easiest way is to use the Hands Free "Device" method
i got a problem on my iphone 5s bluetooth and I have already reset network conecting, restart the iphone also update and restore iphone on itunes, but still not working... please give suggest to fix it
You need to describe your problem better. There are dozens of possible "problems" with BlueTooth, and they all have different solutions. You can probably find the answer by reading the first page of replies to the original post 38 pages back.
I have the same situation. It just started yesterday when my Date and time kept changing. My Bluetooth connection is always on, since yesterday, it just started the issue of not having the option to turn it on and just hangs. I tried the reset and turned off the phone 3x now and still having the same issue.
Maybe this is something that Apple need to check and advise. I might go down Apple Store to have this checked out.

Question for you?
Is there are an update on Iphone Map where it will be able to stream the voice/audio through my '09 Mercedes E350 P2 package HK command nav system via bluetooth?
Right now I am using WAZE aps as my GPS for accuracy and it streams great voice/audio through my car system.
Iphone Map aps is so outdated and most of the time its not providing good directions and the area or location is totally off most of the time.
Dear PraveenKay,

First thing to try, is to delete all phones from the Bluetooth menu in your car. Try to repair.
Hi
That response is not strictly correct. I have an iPhone 5 and it DOES connect via Bluetooth to other devices, namely my Samsung Galaxy S4.
In fact, I use my Bluetooth to tether between my iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4.
That is the only thing you can do between them and it doesn't work between all phones.
