Yes, the theming works and that is intended. You just can't transfer files between them.
Did you resolve in the meantime the issue that you had to enter your pincode every time when reconnecting your iphone to your Landrover? I'm struggeling with the same problem and couldn't find an answer in this thread.
Thank you in advance!
I have an iphone 5s that will not connect to any of my ipad2 or my macbook pro running 10.8.5. But it will connect to my bluetooth camera remote and bluetooth headphones. I keep getting the message that the ipad and macbook are not supported devices.
Send to apple service centre they say the iphone is working well.
Whats the problem here? the OS or that Apple screwed up somewhere?
You clearly did not read much of this thread, where the answer has been posted several dozen times. iOS does not support device to device bluetooth. It has so many other device to device communications it doesn't need Bluetooth.
Just got a new iPhone 5s and had the same problem. I fixed it by by pressing the call button and the + button on the Bose headset at the same time. Worked like a charm.
Hi, I have an Iphone 5, when I upgraded to the latest software 7.1.1 bluetooth has stopped working. I have seen a few threads with differing advice, but none of it works. I have reset the phone to the original factory settings, (as advised in the apple shop) I have reset network setting in settings, I have reset all settings but whatever I do, blue tooth comes on, searches for a while and then turns itself off. I have tried with 2 different cars (it used to work on both) both cars see the phone but both say they cannot connect, the phone just searches, then turns bluetooth off.
Any ideas
Thanks
Gareth
I Have the same problem with my Ford Fiesta and Nissan dualis. In Ford, it connects but there is no sound coming through the speaker. Person on other end could hear me but I can't hear them.
In nissan it comes up with a call disconnect icon without even a call being placed and the whole audio/GPS system freezes.
Sure it is a software issue with the update and not the vehicle.
Same issue with my Rosen piranha. Rosen says there is nothing they can do until Apple fixes it. Problem was made worse with 8.02
Hi,
I bought my iPhone 5 last year and I never used BT since I never needed it before.
Last week I bought a new iPad Air so I wanted to use new iOS 8.0.2 Handoff function with my iPhone 5.
While my iPad BT can find any BT devices around but not my iPhone 5, my iPhone 5 BT is searching and searching but can't find anything at all.
Do you think iPhone 5 BT might be faulty ?
I upgraded last night both devices to new iOS 8.1 but no luck.
I also wanted to restore my iPhone 5 as a new phone but even after that no luck at all.
Any suggestion and help is appreciated.
Thank you !
Here is a good article from Apple, http://suppor.apple.com/kb/ts4562
Thanks wndrmn I will try that.
A Technician working for an Apple service repairing desk told me anyway that it is not supposed that iPhone and iPad can find each other and that iPhone is supposed to find some audio devices only instead.
I wonder if this is true or not ...
What are you trying to accomplis?
My iPhone5 with my iPad Air.
I have no car or other audio BT devices.

What are you trying to accomplish by connecting the two devices?
Someone in Apple Care told me I need to do that to have Handoff function working properly.
At moment, just with BT switched ON on both devices, whenever I start writing an email on my iPad and I want to carry on the job on my iPhone, I always get "Cocoa Error 4609".
