No 4G Bell ????

Apparently LTE is avaiable in a pocket full of places here in Toronto as I found out today but no HSPA+ or HSPA, nor 4G display showing. It's either a quick bleep of LTE then back to 3G. What's up with that Bell? Or is it Apple to blame? Back to Rogers I go?

This map is not that accurate. According to the site:

"This website is dedicated to helping map the extent of cellular network coverage. This is done by crowdsourcing data using the CellMapper mobile application. Once the data is received, the coverage areas are calculated and cell phone tower locations are estimated based on available information."

The 15 users that have the Android / Blackberry / Windows app installed are providing the source of this.

I seriously doubt that most of Toronto doesn't have LTE coverage.

Ok just for adding info about LTE Issue i've been talking to telus support last 2hrs . He open a ticket repair about the case but he explain to me that was a big national problem for every iphone 5 on the Telus network

And the bell network by the way.So he encourage me that every iphone 5 owner should call

To advise the problem to is network provider. The More person will call the more faster the problem will be repair.

He said that The iphone 5 has a problem to communicate with the bell/telus network .

One thing i'm sure it's a network problem or a Apple trouble !

So CALL TELUS/BELL !

This! Seeing how this problem only is in Canada, that too on Bell, Virgin and Telus which share towers, the fact that the iPhone 5 has a problem communicating their towers would explain the issue.

This would also explain why my S3 has a better/faster LTE connection than my iPhone.

My iPhone 5 is on 3G, all 5 bars whereas the S3 is on LTE. They are at the exact same spot

I also have this "no service" problem. I did call Bell to add my name to this issue. My galaxy s3 had no problems with LTE but the iPhone can't retain the connection. I am sure that this is a Telus/Bell problem because it seems to be fine on Rogers. You can avoid the "no service" problem if you turn off LTE. Hopefully we see a fix soon. I wouldn't exchange the phone because it still won't fix the problem. Just make sure you call your service provider so we can quickly get a fix.

Well spoke with Bell again tonight, Level 2 lol, whatever that means. I'm on the original Master Ticket as most of you are as well. What does that mean? Nothing!! I've come to the conclusion that Bell is "exaggerating" their LTE coverage and availability.

I had a co-workers i5 today. It's on Rogers. We were near Yonge/401 and loads of LTE for her phone but my Bell phone nicely stayed in 3G. We did the Speed Test periodically using the same App and every time I got my *** handed to me. Some of my speeds were 2.55 Mbps to her 38Mbps!!

I've also stated from the beginning that if the LTE is not rectified I'm going back to Rogers and my 3yr contract is to be voided. They have those notes in the system and have till Wed to prove they're worth. That's what we agreed on. The Bell store where I got my i5 is in total agreeance so this is good. Problem is, if I cancel and go back to Rogers, I have to wait for a phone! Even Apple stores have no idea when more stock is coming.

Why did I switch, why oh why.......oh ya, because Bell has the largest LTE network 😕

No 4G Bell ????
