I can' t open passbook. There is no connection to THE iTunes store. I changed The year into 2013 as recommended, but it did not offer THE solution to THE problem. Does anyone knows what to do?

I also tried changing the year and it did not work. I just tried turning my phone off and now it works!
I've not had a problem connecting to iTunes with any app except Passbook. I've tried all of the suggested 'fixes' and none have worked. I still cannot get to the app store via the button in Passbook, I'm still getting the 'Cannot connect to iTunes' error.
However, I searched again and found another thread in the discussion group that had a solution that worked for me. Basically it is the same as the eariler fix which set the clock forward except for two facts. First, the date was set to the year 2036 and second, the program executed while the date was set to 2036 was the app store app, not Passbook.

At first, I did change the year and it didn't work but then I did the following.
1) turn off the phone then turn it back on
2) change the year to 2013 and leave it in 2013.
3) open passbook
4) once passbook opens, go back and change the date back to automatic 2012!
This is what I did and it worked for me! Good luck!!
I also had the same passbook dilema on my iPhone 5. I fixed it!
all you have to do is the following:
-Settings
-iCloud
-scroll down to Passbook and turn it "on"
we need Steve Jobs back. Ever since steve jobs past away, apple software and updates got worse. THIS GOD **** U.S Govenment is taken over Apple company. FCC is destroying apple's frequency and data. There is a new Order now evr since Steve Jobs past away.
