Hi, my iphone 5 keeps crashing like every 2 - 3 minutes

same issue, irregularly freezes then the screen either displays vertical lines or goes a shade darker and then proceeds to reboot / resett itself. Seems to be worse when iphone 5 is usuing 3g. really annoying. Any help?

This problem just started for me today. EXACT same symptoms you are describing...Tried to restore to New Phone, same problem. Tried to restore to iCloud backup, same problem...Might just need to take it into an apple store where i will inevitibly need to send it in and wait for a replacement...

You just had a lemon -- same thing happened to me with my first iPhone 4 two years ago. They swapped it for a new unit (they generally keep some in stock that they don't sell for just such emergencies) and everything worked perfectly afterward.

Just set up my appointment with the Apple Store for later today. Hopefully, they will have some replacements in stock so I am not left with a broken phone...Also, I am having the charge issue as well and after speaking with Apple Customer Support, he suggested I restore the iphone through iTunes. If that doesn't work (it didnt) then he said it is a hardware problem and will need to be replaced. Good luck!

I've had the phone for a while and it worked great but, today the phone crashes and is loosing power. whenever i move it verticaly it would turn off.

I have this problem too.

I had problems with it getting really hot when the battery is charging, and it Frequently freezing and showing the verticle lines then restarting.

The guy at the Apple store said he would not switch my handset and he told me I would have to wipe the phone and start it as new. Even though I want my messages and photos on there.

My iPhone 5 wroked perfectly fine for 4 days then bam! Nothing....tried various times to restore on iTunes and eventually worked....then it crashed again!!!

Out of nothing, it switched back on again as I write this post...***????

If you manage to restore it on iTunes then you should be able to restore to your saved files on iCloud (if you used that option). You´ll start with a wiped phone but all your photos and such should be on your back-up on iCloud.

Having the same problem - it keeps restarting in an endless cycle and some times even displays the Red Screen of "Death"....Even though i updated and restored the software numerous times. Anyone got an solution out there?

My problem was resolved by Apple Store in a matter of minutes.

Tech confirmed there was a problem and Apple gave me a new phone within 7-days!

No point wasting time trying to fix this problem on your own, the phone will not work. Go to Apple Store and get a new unit!

I would but Apple dont have any stores around here I bought my iphone at Walmart and after 30 days they make you go thew Apple

Check Apple.com for local Apple Rep. I doubt if there isn't one near enough for you. Otherwise you will have the inconvenience of shipping your phone to them!

Either way, they should send you a new phone once they confirm its not working properly!
