Scratch iphone 5

Why did Apple to deside to paint the Iphone 5 black?

Now you get scratches on the back and sides.

Why not chance it to the metalic look of the white one..

Found a dint on the side of my iphone 5, just got a swap from Apple Store(Perth, Australia), but found a dint on screen for the replacement one. Then the manager get me another one which have a scratch on the bottom. Then manager offer me another swap in few weeks later to swap, as they all come from the same batch.
