I stupidly deleted the library folder in my user section of my hard drive. Now the computer will not start up. I would like to retreive this folder by accessing it in the trash folder in Target mode from another Mac. However I cannot find the Trash folder on my hard drive when I try. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the advice Niel. Unfortunately it didn't work for me though, no folder was found via that method
Open your home folder on that drive, choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu, and provide .Trash as the path.

I know that I'm kind of late and you probably don't need the advice anymore, but I'll still give you my solution. Go to the "go to folder" as Neil described, and enter /Users/[yourusername]/.trash
