My iPhone 5 proximity sensor doesn't work. There is no screen cover or case on the phone. Any suggestions?

Is anybody else having this problem? It's a white iPhone.

Simple solution is to get one Flip cover for iphone. while on on call ensure the phone is covered . The phone works perfectly.
