Aperture update will not launch...can't repair and load library on both of my Macs.
I've tried to run the repair multiple times. Will not repair and wlll not open library. On both Macs and done repeatedely.
Something is wrong.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2), 24"

To reply to the other questions, up in the discussion, Yes I'm sure I had removed the only installed version of Aperture that I have before reinstalling.
And yes I do have videos in my library. I'm not sure I have 3rd party QT plugins though.
So what are my plans? I will now do a clean install of my system, then uninstall Aperture then reinstall it as described in the technote. Remove any preferences related to Aperture. The try to rebuild my Library.

Video codecs you might have added:
Flip4Mac, Perian, VLC Player, (I have those too, and my installation is fine)
the codec that has been giving the most trouble was the 3ivx-video codec.

Did the unistall (easy) Make sure you empty trash. Re-installed. Ran software update. Working fine now.

After a lot of work.
Reinstall the system, Reinstall Aperture, update the flip4mac.
Repairing my library worked fine.
I am so happy 🙂.

Mine stops at 77%...reinstalled at least 12 times already. So screwed.
Same problem. Mine stops at 196637restored versions.
I tried the importing thing since I am able to open Aperture 3.4 with a newly created library. It hangs the same after awhile. No help.
