Siri not working on iPhone 4S iOS 6

Switch Siri off then

Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)

Note: You will not lose any data.

Switch Siri back on.

I am having problems with SIRI and voice recognition since the ios 6 upgrade on my 4S. Most of the time Voice regonition and SIRI just don't respond at all. I thought I had found the solution yesterday when I turned 3G back on (I had turned if off to save battery as the battery is draining fast since upgrade too). All of the sudden SIRI and voice regognition worked. This morning, tried again and NOTHING! Not responding again! I had done a hard reset but this did not help. I will now try turning off Siri and re-doing the hard reset.

Thanks man! I did exactly like you said and she works now. Siri is back. LOL I also have the 4s and Siri wouldn't work. Till I reseted like ckuan said and now she's working. Yay! Thanks man!!!

Switching off SIRI and doing a hard reset solves the problem.... for a while.... then SIRI and voice recognition stop working again! There is definitely a bug in ios 6. I NEVER had this problem before upgrading. I hope the fix comes soon because I am an avid SIRI user! 😟

Not true. I have upgraded and now Siri provides more answers then the previous version which most of it works only in the US.

Glad to hear that yours works well. Mine however DOES NOT.

Siri needs Internet access, so checked that you have good connections.

I appreciate your help. I do of course realize that SIRI needs Internet to function. However my connections are fine and it is definitely not related to a connection issue.

I confirm that siri is not working also in italian language after updating to iOS6. I made a reset and sometimes works and sometimes not and it's not a matter of internet connection. Is there a way to report it to Apple?

Yes, exactly. It works sometimes and then all of the sudden it stops working. Then maybe 2 hours later one tries again and ....a MIRACLE..... it's working... until it doesn't again....

Same problem when using the voice recognition on the keyboard. VERY FRUSTRATING!

Siri uses many servers around the world and maybe some of them got slammed with millions of queries and you are in one of those servers. Mine is working very well.

So you think I should contact directly apple to report the problem?
