iCloud disabled font functions in Outlook calendar

A few days ago I got a notification that there was an update available for iCloud, so I did the update. And then I discovered that the iCloud update had turned off some of the functionality in my Outlook Calendar. Some arrogant "Genius" apparently decided that the Notes section of the Calendar should be in a font that's so small that I have to strain my eyes to read it, and then the same "Genius" decided to turn off the ability to change the font size or type.

It was working fine as it was, so why did the "Genius" decide to screwed it up? I'm sure the answer is: to punish Windows users. I understand that Apple and Windows are competitors, but when Apple purposely screws up Windows functions, it's just plain wrong. And it certainly isn't going to make me more likely to buy more Apple products in the future.

There are also lots of other Outlook Calendar functions that were disabled by that iCloud update; it wasn't just the font settings that were disabled. The entire Insert tab (and all functionality therein) and the entire Format Text tab (and all the functionality therein) are GONE! And half of the functionality in the remaining Appointment tab is gone.

Is there any way to turn my font controls and other functions on again in Outlook?

Re-installing didn't work for me.

I uninstalled iCloud. Restarted the PC. Launched Outlook to see how it works (with iCloud gone) and all of the functionality had been restored to the Calendar. Then I installed iCloud again, and when I looked at Outlook I discovered that most of the Calendar functionality had again been disabled just like before.

So uninstalling and reinstalling got me absolutely nowhere.

I'm glad to hear that it worked for some other people. I sure wish I knew what is different in my Outlook v. theirs. I am running Outlook 2007. For the users that got full functionality back from reinstalling, are you using Outlook 2010?

This situation has been a complete nightmare. Apple can you please fix this problem, surely this is a bug and can't be a feature of the new updated software! i have already wasted 3-4 hours trying to resolve this problem but with no luck (uninstalling and re-installing the icloud/itunes/mobileme. Being able to copy and paste in the appointments notes is essential. Why did i accept the update!!!!

Is there any way to go back to the old version of the icloud software? I suppose i could do a system restore? any advice appreciated.

We have 85 people in our organisation using apple iphones with icloud and outlook and unless this situation is sorted we will be changing to different smartphones.

I asked an Apple Support person about where/how I can find an earlier version of iCloud so I can uninstall the new version and reinstall the older version, but he said Apple doesn't provide older versions so the only option is to try to find the older iCloud version somewhere online and download it from a 3rd party at my own risk.

OK, keep us posted if you get any support feedback.

The only good thing that I noticed in this new version is that sync between Outlook Calendar and iCloud Calendar is better.

On the other hand, the iCloud calendar that I sync with Outlook and I can see on a PC accessing iCloud thru a browser, does not appear in my iCloud on iPad. I mean, the calendar appears on iPad. However, less than 20% of the appointments apprear there...
