I just purchased my iPhone 5 yesterday and randomly I have been seeing a weird screen glitch that goes horizontally across the screen, has anyone else had this problem? P.s. if you google iPhone 5 screen glitch there is a YouTube video that someone elSE posted with the same problem that I am having.

My iPhone 5 is also doing something similar. There is a black screen in the top right corner of my phone. It glitches a lot and sometimes, I cannot even type or click on it. In my opinion, you should get a new phone. The iPhone 5 is old and is acting up a lot, as of what I've heard. P.S. My iPhone glitches out so much I took me an hour to write this!
After looking at a couple of YouTube videos of the same problem it seems to happen when using the keyboard or using the keyboard to access iTunes or input your iTunes password. Is anyone else having this problem? And a reboot does nothing because it goes away on it on after a while or if you just hit cancel. However I have rebooted the phone more than once and this will be the third time it's happened.
Yeah.. just happened to me, too. Encouraging that it only seems to happen when putting in Apple ID. That means it's a software glitch. Should be easy to clear up.
Yeah found that mine is doing the same thing. Only happens in App Store when putting in apple I'd password. Looks likes line of distortion but as soon as you click a button it goes. Hope it's software and apple fix it quick. Dose anyone think its the screen?
I had the same problem with mine. After some extensive research on various blogs and calling apple CSR, I remedied this with a fix by allowing my new phone to make a high velocity contact with the hardwood floors of my den. Now I don't have the problem anymore. Hope this helps everyone!
Sorry forgot to mention. It dose not do it on the new iPad. I'm running ios6 on it and its fine.

Yeah the same but the line on mine is just under the password. Really annoying apple haven't posted anything yet about this. I'm worried its the screen but its happening to alot of people so hopefully an update will fix it
I am seeing this too. I tried to take a screen capture but that didn't work. I am guessing only external videos can show it, but the video posted above is exactly what I am seeing.
While I don't think I'm going to chuck my new phone across the room, I do have an appt at the apple store and if need be they will just have to replace this one. The KOP store seemed to have plenty yesterday.
This is exactly what my phone keeps doing and I am as I said making a trip to the apple store to see if they can fix or replace my phone. It does sound like it might be a software issue from what I am reading but I just don't know enough about that topic to even attempt any off beat ideas. I'll let apple fix their product and I'll let you know what happens my appt is for tomorrow.

Just for grins I tried this out on my 4S running iOS6 and was not able to replicate the issue when typing into the Apple ID password field inside the App Store.
@victim187: The problem does not reproduce every time even on my iPhone 5. I tried entering Apple ID password couple dozen times and it doesn't reproduce but definitely happens from time to time. The way the screen starts to flicker it just doesn't "feel" like a software problem. We'll see. I'll give it a bit more time to see what Apple comes back with and if nothing happens I'll take it in for a replacement.
I have also had this happen several times....but only when entering my password in the App Store.
