I just purchased my iPhone 5 yesterday and randomly I have been seeing a weird screen glitch that goes horizontally across the screen, has anyone else had this problem? P.s. if you google iPhone 5 screen glitch there is a YouTube video that someone elSE posted with the same problem that I am having.

Just want to bump this and see if anyone else is having this issue or maybe someone has contacted apple about this
I contacted Apple and their solution was to do a hard reset, when you hold the top button and the home button until the phone shuts off and comes back on again. The only problem with this theory is that I had already tried this after the first glitch occured. I'm going to have the people at the apple store look at if, if they start blowing smoke up my behind about it going away on its on. Then I'm going to tell them to just replace my phone, because I didn't spend the money I did for a defective piece of equipment the first day it comes out.

Extra to this I just observed the following behaviour when using App Store on the iPhone 5
Surely if I press cancel the app should not say Installing but revert back to FREE (or BUY)
Is this a way to bypass the account you get apps on?
Update - Seems to be only for app previously purchased.

I am also having the same problem. The fifth row has those horizontal lines that makes the screen look blurry, but only has happened when downloading an app from the app store.
So the people at the apple store are telling me that the problems that you and I are having with our phones is a hardware problem not a software problem.... It won't be fixed by updating the software ....... Basically the phone is defective and needs to be replaced !! NOT HAPPY!!
They also stated that They had seen this with a few select phones and I just happened to have one. So again if your iPhone is doing this According to the Apple store in KOP, the phone needs to be replaced. The good news they seem to have brand new phones on hand specifically for this purpose so they were able to trade out my phone today.
I've seen this anomaly, too. I'm with those who say it doesn't "feel" like a software issue. I'm going to keep on top of this. I won't be too pleased if it turns out my new phone is defective.
Know what you mean but why would it only do it on the App Store and not all the time. I'm sure it's a software problem. Personally I think iOS 6 is buggy. The App Store on the iPad is really jerky when scrolling down and I've noticed some other glitches with characters and boxes. Just doesn't feel as refined as it should.
I having this same issue. I posted a video on YouTube. Only happens to me when I need to input my Apple ID and/or password.
Again according to the "genius" at the Apple store, the reason they believe it is a hardware problem and not software is because :

I am experiencing the same problem on my iPhone 5. This is my second "screen glitch issue" I am having with Apple products this year. First, the Retina MacBook Pro, and now the iPhone 5. I really hope Apple will fix this problem as soon as possible although this time is it not as serious as it was with Retina MacBook Pro.
