I just purchased my iPhone 5 yesterday and randomly I have been seeing a weird screen glitch that goes horizontally across the screen, has anyone else had this problem? P.s. if you google iPhone 5 screen glitch there is a YouTube video that someone elSE posted with the same problem that I am having.

My iPhone 5 is also doing something similar. There is a black screen in the top right corner of my phone. It glitches a lot and sometimes, I cannot even type or click on it. In my opinion, you should get a new phone. The iPhone 5 is old and is acting up a lot, as of what I've heard. P.S. My iPhone glitches out so much I took me an hour to write this!
It just happened on my first Apple product -- iphone5. I sincerely hope that's a software bug and gonna be fixed soon.
Hey Caroline so you mind helping me with bootcamp I just got a MacBook Air for the first time so I downloaded windows 7 and have a USB on me may I know if I'm set or do I need anything else? And how can I get the USO to my USB?thanks
My iPhone is doing it to but only when I access the App Store other than that it doesn't do it. My iPhone 5 is perfect just this little screen glitch is bothering me hopefully apple can fix it
I guess I am lucky. I have had mine since the 21st and no issues on the app store password screen (or anywhere for that matter). The phone appears to be pretty solid. I hope you guys are able to resolve your issues.
PS - My friend had his changed on the 26 and his has been perfect since.

I have had this happen when just opening a folder, close it and open it again and it's gone. I sure do hope this is a software bug. It is random enough not to be a huge bother but something I would like to see fixed.
I also found it happened once when I open the folder, glitch across the black background...it seems not only when enter password.. The line appeared in the bottom half of the screen, like the same region with the password keyboard. Since the keyboard background when enter password in App Store is also black, any chance the problem is related to the color rendering mechanism?
I got this the other day. Reminds me of the old 8-bit arcade game days, like the overflow screen on Ms. Pac-Man.
I have had my iPhone replaced and I will report back if I get the same issue, it seems likely it might be a software issue with the keyboard in the App Store.
So this has happened again brand new iPhone 5, this has got to be a software glitch
Keyboard glitch might be fixable I really hope the purple nonsense is also fixable. I would love to know if it can be or not as I have 5 days left to return my phone if it is.
At first it only happened during an App store inquiry or purchase. Then it happened randomly while I was not viewing the App store but I did have the keyboard up.
I had the same problem the first day I got my iphone5, then I replaced a new one, but it still happens now, so I guess it's not a hardware problem. Hope apple guys can fix it ASAP....
I just left the Genius Bar with intent to swap out my phone. They informed me that they are not swapping the phones with this issue at this time. They stated that this was a known issue and Apple won't give them any more information. Talk about frustrating. I wouldn't have gone down there just for them to tell me it is a known issue.
They replaced mine with no hesitation on October 6th. They did say if this phone had the same problem that it is probably a software problem so I should wait for the update. Sorry!
