BBC IPlayer icon is missing from iPod touch screen, App Store shows it is installed, apple search function cannot find it!! Any ideas?

I am not sure how to fix this- I can't uninstall because there is no icon. I updated the bbc I player this morning, the icon appeared while it was downloading, but disappeared as soon as it was finished! The iPod is 4th gen running iOS 5.

Has anyone any ideas how to fix it.

Many thanks :D

Try the following:

- A reset. Nothing is lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Try syncing with your computer with the appin your iTunes library

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup
