iPhone 5 and Mercedes Bluetooth issues

Hello,
I just received the new iPhone 5, and it's great.
However I have an 2008 mercedes s500 with integrated bluetooth. The iPhone pairs Ok but the call quality is very poor people can hardly understand what I talk and the volume is loud but I an also hear them like talking from a bottle. I tried several restarts, nothing works.
All other phones I have are working OK.

Please give me sugestions what to do, I use this option very very often paid few hundred euros for this bluetooth system. I repeat all other phones I pair are working flawless.

I am having problems with a lack of audio thru my handsfree when my iPhone 5s tries to either receive or make a call in my 2012 Mercedes E350. The phone is paired properly, I can see my phone name and the contact directory. The radio mutes properly when it attempts to receive or make a call but I cannot hear anything and the other party cannot hear me. The received and transmitted volumes are set per the MB instructions but still no luck. The audio source is set to the MB bluetooth connection on the phone. I can hear the other party thru the iPhone speaker if I select that mode but if I go back to MB bluetooth option, I hear nothing. Bluetooth connectivity and playback works for music. Very frustrating. Running the latest OS update on the phone. I have tried turning the radio off and on with the phone in the car and I have "rebooted the phone in the car with the radio turned on. Each time, it recognizes the phone but still hear nothing. Any suggestions?
