Can I load an image of my iMac which ran Snow Leopard onto a new iMac which runs Mountain Lion?

Upgrade is usually the best choice, so long as ProTools 10 upgrade does not cut out features, like the current controversy over the "lobotimization" of Final Cut Pro! Actually I have no direct experience with ProTools, so I cannot help out and you should post another new thread in the appropriate sub-topic to get those answers.

The closest I got to music is when I started a record store as a teenager at my college town; was a blast! Kinda like John Cusack in High Fidelity, but earlier... Some years earlier, in my early teen years, as a true geek: when my friends took up electric guitar, I built them "fuzz-tones" so they could emulate the lead guitar stylings of Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck!

You refered to Brian May's credit as the "Max Max" film, so I suggested the correction of the "Mad Mad" film and finally, as noted on IMDB:

"Before the film was released in the United States, distributor American International Pictures overdubbed the actors' speaking voices[, including that of American, but then living in Australia, Mel Gibson]. The 2002 special edition DVD release was the first US DVD to feature the original Australian language track." [insert from me]

I'm installing a Pro Tools Update and it's asking about my system configuration and I have to choose one, and I don't know which one to choose:

it says:

"Please select what PRo Tools hardware system you are installing software for, as different hardware will require different components to be installed:"

and the options are:

"Avid HDX, HD Native, or any non-HD hardware"

or

"HD TDM (HD Core, HD Accel, HD Process)"

I have no idea what either of these mean, does anyone know what I should choose?

My specs are:

iMac 21.5 inch

2.8 Ghz Intel Core i7

16 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 RAM

OS X 10.8.2
