Battery life on iPhone 5

The battery life on my iPhone 5 barely last 5 hours in fact I'm losing about a percent a minute. My iPhone 4 which I had from the very beginning of the release of the iPhone 4 With the original battery last much longer then my new iPhone 5 does. This is very disappointing! I hope that this is a software issue and that it can be fixed with a very soon to come software update.

In most cases, you should be able to equal or better battery life on your iPhone 5. I have been able to on mine anyway.

There are a few things you can do to ensure good battery life on your iPhone 5. Follow the tips for improving battery life here.

If that doesn't do it, you can do a full dfu restore and backup as described here.

Let me know if that helps!

It almost looks like there is something running in the background using up your battery.

Normally, the iPhone would only report 7 hrs. of usage if it has actually been used for that time.

It could be location services, notifications, or system services, for example.

Try downloading Carat... It might take a few days to give you results but it might be able to tell you what apps or services are affecting your battery life. With the help of Google, you might be able to solve the problem.

Let me tell you why? Because from 3G Internet decrease your battery so much. My iphone loses 1 percent every 3 hours, and my iPhone can stand by up to four days without charging it.

All you do is

Turn off brightness

Turn off notification apps that you don't use

Turn off the 3g Internet when you dont use it

Turn wifi off, and Bluetooth

Close all the apps in multitasking

And make your iphone finish completely until it dies

Charge it to hundred percent

Then don't touch it for at least 4 or 6 hours, and watch the difference.
