iPhone 5 Siri too slow to respond

I have a Verizon iPhone 5 connected to a very fast LTE in the Tampa area, Siri have been taking way too long to even dial a phone number, its doing it on both wifi and LTE, is that normal? once it works its accurate though, any ideas?

Thanks

iPhone 5, iOS 6

i am on ATT. for me, siri works about 80% of the time, regardless if i am on wifi or not. i would say about half of the time it works, it takes a very long time (1 minute+) to receive a response. the other half is usually pretty quick (3-5 seconds). i want to say that off peak hours are better. the times it does not work are usually long pauses followed by the standard siri msg stating she does not know what i mean, etc.

calling a number by voice dialing is excruciating - i had an apple 4 previously without siri and it worked very well, i am debating disabling the siri feature, but will give it another week to see if it is just mass congestion of the new devices on the market.

Same problem here. I'd say 3/4 of the time, Siri pauses then eventually responds saying there was a problem. It's not the voice recognition because Siri shows me what I said immediately with excellent accuracy. I'd guess it's a server issue. I have the iPhone 5 on Verizon. It's definitely not the connection speed. I tested with the Speedtest app which showed 28Mbps down/up on LTE and 14Mbps down / 3Mbps up on wifi. This problem renders Siri almost useless. Most of the time, it's quicker to just manually perform a task or look up information. Lame.

I think we have to give it a few weeks at minimum unless Apple does something about it.

Since iPhones are backordered for a few weeks, more and more people are going to be on Siri in waves. Not to mention that the new iPad now has Siri.

I think Apple has to step it up and throw more bandwidth/resources towards Siri to accomodate for all the new devices.
