Temp fix for iOS 6 not pushing Exchange mail

All,

If you are reading this, you are probable having the same problem as I am:

After you switched to the iPhone 5, Exchange mail is no longer PUSHing to your device. I have done testing and this problem affects:

1) iPhone 5's running connecting to Exchange 2007 or Exchange 2010 servers.

This does not effect:

1) my iPhone 4S running iOS 6 Beta 6.0 10A5376e

Troubleshooting:

1) Wiped phone and started with completely fresh iOS 6 on my iPhone 5. The only thing I did was add my exchange account.

-Still had same issue.

** How to fix this issue:

1. Go to Mail, Contacts, and Calendar. Click "Fetch New Data". Make sure push is on.

2. Go back to Mail, Contact, and Calendar. Click on your exchange account. Click on "Days to Sync". Even if it is set to what you want this on, chance it to a different setting (i.e. 1 week). You can change this back later, but this is the only way to fix it.

3. Go back to Mail COntact and Calendar. Click on "Show". No matter what this setting is on, change it to a different setting. (i.e. 100 recent messages).

4. Reboot your iPhone 5

5. Exchange PUSH will be working now.

iOS 6.1 is officially out NOW!!!!

Everyone download and test to see that the exchange push issue is, hopefully, finally fixed!

Keeping fingers crossed. Of course I can't download until I'm on WiFi tonight when home from work.

So far so good. No more going into mail to manually check. Even fetch wasn't checking properly every 15 minutes. Lets hope this continues for several days.

OK. Off and rolling. But couldn't this be the result of simply a re-set that takes place as part of the install? Time will tell, I suppose.

VIP notifications are not working now for me (yet)

VIP working fine for me. Have you tried in VIP-ing and reading as VIP? I did not but just a thought.

Push is working for me over 3G, LTE, and Wi-Fi. It's held up after a restart, too.

Fingers crossed I'll never have to check this thread again. 🙂

Well, mine worked... For 12 minutes.

I hope you all have better luck. My problem wasn't only push not working, but fetch was a total failure, as well, so maybe my problem is a tad different.

Looks like I'll have to switch phones.

Unbelievable! Not acknowledging the issue, then having a customer support person contact me, ask me information back in Nov., all to never follow up with me, and make me follow this forum everyday for any information is just awful customer service. now we are into yet another ios update and it still isn't fixed. So disappointed with their total lack of service in this instance, that im pretty sure i'm done with the iphone. Just shelled out major $$ for this thing last year. Apple actually WAS one of those rare and incredible companies that i used to think truly valued their customers. I really am naive. I do know that I could care less about upgrading my mac book as i had been planning to this year as well.

apple will lose more in the long run. Much more than they would have if they just admitted there is an issue and they just cant find the solution at this time. No faith in them at this point.
