A number of us have reported that the flash doesn'tseem to work right. In an earlier post I pointed out that my iPhone 5 camera produces two bursts of light for each photo. This was confusing to me, and understandably may well be for others. I was not seeing reports of no image or drastically underexposed images. I took my camera to an indoor reunion and snapped about 20 flash pictures. They all came out perfect via the "double flash" syndrome I'm referring to.

У меня такая же проблема, вспышка работает несколько раз, затем перестаёт работать на 20-30 минут, затем снова работает, как будто поставлено ограничение на колличество включений вспышки

I have the same problem, the flash works a few times and then stops working for 20-30 minutes, then works again, as if put restrictions on the surprising number of inclusions Flash

Hey everyone,

Just to give all a helping hand, i have a little tip for you all.

Be shure to take off eny bumper or cover that you have on your iphone 5 before taking a picture with flash.

the flash will in meny cases make the picture gray if your cover is on, at least that was my problem.

Hope this will be helpfull to someone.

Thank you MHDusty.

It FEELS like the flash is off sync (too early). But it's not. It goes on twice. The problem (for most people?) is the cover. You see the cover has an opening and it seems like the flash illuminates the cover opening and bounces light into the lens!

I had several pics ruined although they were taken in bright daylight due to having the flash "on".

So check your cam with cover off before going through any other procedures...
