ios 6/Bluetooth MAP and uConnect

Yes please share uconnect software version is in apps, all apps, settings, system information software version I am on 13.34.5

What are you running if listen and reply via voice through Uconnect works, you can install via cd or USB

Have 2011 Charger w 8.4N U-connect

Have iphone 4S

With os.5.1 on iphone, bluetooth worked.

With 6.0 on iphone, bluetooth did not work

With 7.0 on iphone bluetooth worked again.

No issue with blue tooth voice, this issue is the new functionality of uconnect that reads your incoming text messages, then allows you to respond to your text messages using your voice

Jeepgarage.org has detailed instructions on downloading updates onto a USB stick and how to install. You have to make a nominal contribution to join the VIP section, but it is well worth it. On Jeepgarage, go to the bottom of their main page to jump to the VIP uConnect discussion and the actual files to download as well as the instructions. It is a fairly simple process and lots of Q&A available to guide you through.

Any other ideas, no update available. According to Chrysler.servigistics.com iPhone not supported for reply to text with voice due to a block in iPhone Bluetooth configuration, blackberry supported which is odd

no update for my car 😠 this is truly a Apple issue.

I imagine this is Apple's blunt way of telling you to "use Siri". I am good with that - I prefer to use Siri anyway to reply to a text message.

Per other forums and everything I can find, Apple is at fault on the MAP SMS text issue. Apple has there MAP configuration not standard and pretty much has it locked up so Uconnect can not use the Iphone to text messageing. APPLE FIX THIS.

Sorry but I do not believe that this is an apple issue. Here is why. Beginning of February I bought a 2014 wrangler with 130sres radio in it. Bluetooth works for phone calls and streaming songs. Holding button and trying to use siri does not work. First week of March bought my wife a 2014 cherokee. She has uconnect 5.0 radio. Everything including siri works like a charm. Using the same phone in both cars gives different results which means Chrysler software is the issue not Apple. If it was an Apple issue neither of their radios would work. Chrysler and Uconnect have to fix...

you need to check and tell me if Text Messageing works, Oh the Uconnect 5.0 has no support for that, I thought not. Uconnect 8.4 works fine for everything but Bluetooth MAP which is what this thread is all about not radio, or siri, or anything like that. Uconnect works with standard Bluetooth MAP configurations on Samsung, LG, Nokia, and other but not IOS. I am sure Chrysler is makeing there equipment not work with other vendors. Now I will say Chrysler needs to get on board with CarPlay.
