ever since the new update after ios6 came out, the screensaver wont activate after 5min like it used to. any reason why? can this be fixed?
OPen Terminal in Applications, Copy & paste this line...
sudo nvram boot-args="-x"
Press enter, type in your admin password carefully as it won't be echod & press enter...
Reboot.
Okay I did what you told me to do to use terminal and that prompt line and now my computer always boots into SafeBoot how do I get out of it?
Okay this is ******* me off now. Now I can't even use spotlight so I can't find disk utility and SafeBoot I can't even find under users under my username there's no library folder so I don't know what you're talking about looking for this library folder to take out certain files to my desktop. I am unable to restart my computer into regular mode it constantly reboots into SafeBoot mode because you told me to use the terminal line. I'm trying to do command+r when the computer restarts to trying and get it to go back to I don't know if to choose between a right Time Machine backup or a other system option is not even that I can use terminal from there but it won't let me boot into it all I get is a circle with a line thru it right now what is going on
ok that was ****....i FINALLY got it to go back into regular boot mode. never am i doing that again. on the minus side, my screensaver once again does not activate. whatever. i'm over it.
This problem is ruining my multi-thousand dollar plasma tv. I have set the screensaver to 2 minutes, and I have never seen the screensaver come on on even once. I now have itunes music lists burned into my precious plasma screen. My tv is under a year old and I am very careful about burn in and this is ridiculous. Only way to get screensaver on is by hot corners.

most recent hdtv's dont have this issue anymore. either you turn off your tv or just well put up with it. the easiest solution for you is turning off your tv. i mean if you know its causing burn in, it is YOUR fault and you will lose your case immediately. just shut it off.
I had the same problem with the screen saver not automaticallly starting. I set up a smart corner to start it manually, which worked fine when I remembered to do it. IRC, the problem went away on it's own. I completed cleaned that Mac Mini since then.

Ive had this same problem for months trying to figure it out. I use a microsoft ARC keyboard and mouse, turns out the intelipoint software installed in my system preffrences was casuing the screen save issue. turns out the driver was keeping the computer into thinking there was constant activity going on. Dont know if you have anythign simular but if so try it out. worked for me. Hope this helpsℹ
