I would agree with the above post. I live in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where LTE is sparse.  My iPhone 5 (6.0.1/13.3) has the date/time issue.  If I turn off LTE it works fine.

Last weekend we traveled south to Appleton, Wisconsin, where LTE is pretty consistent.  Down there, my phone had no issues.

Now, back up here at home again, the problem occurs once every couple of days if I keep LTE on.  Of course, I can get it corrected by toggling Airplane Mode off and on again.

Like everyone else, I'm anxious for this to be fixed.

I'm also in Overland Park, KS and have the same phone.  My time seems to be consistently off by 13 minutes.  Apple Engineers are supposed to be contacting me within 24 hours to run tests on the phone.  I am on my second iPhone 5 in two weeks and still have the same problem.  Based on other posts in this thread, it sounds like a possible tower issues.  However, Sprint and Apple act like they don't know anything about it.

This is so frustrating.  I switched to the iphone 5 recently and it doesn't matter what setting I use... the time is constantly change on my phone.  I can't believe they don't have this taken care of yet.  I'm in California, but it looks like this is a nationwide problem.  Sorry I have no helpful information to add, but I guess the more we complain, the better.

Does anyone have a link they can post to a Verizon Forum where this is being discussed?  Thank you.

Try this link. If it doesn't work just search "iPhone 5 time" or "iphone 5 time issues" on the Verizon website in the  support community in Apple discussions.  You should be able to find the same issue being discussed there with a lot of the same experiences. That being no final answer of how to fix it.

I might be in the minority here, but it has been about a month with no time issues. It used to happen all the time. I have LTE turned on and time on auto set to Cupertino. I'm hoping that they are fixing the issue area by area and you guys will be next. Hopefully I didn't jinx myself by posting this.

I'm also no longer experiencing the problem in Louisville, KY. It has been approximately 2 weeks since the last incident.

I hope this isnt my fate as well. A few days after having my data package refunded the problem stopped... Its been close to a month with no glitches on either of my 2 iP5s. Someone else in Honolulu said they are no longer experiencing the issue either so maybe VZW fixed the towers on Oahu

I'm still having the time problem if I have LTE enabled. Problem is overnite which makes using the alarm tough - but only with LTE enabled. I'm 20 miles east of Portland, OR.

I am a Sprint customer and am having the same issue. Therefore it must be an Apple issue. How can we fix this? It is definitley throwing me off; from my alarm to my imessages. I can't take it.

I am in Miami, FL and experience this glitch on a daily bases.

I am a Verizon customer having the same problem here in Illinois.  I do not have problems when the LTE is turned off.  I have been forced to have the LTE off because I rely on the phone for time (alarm, appointments, meetings, etc).  I am getting aggravated and plan on stopping by the Apple Store tomorrow to get a new phone.  I HOPE they will give me a new phone, and that the new phone does not have the same problem.

In my opinion, it is unacceptable that it has taken this long to fix something as simple as a clock.

As others have mentioned, I believe that it is a Verizon issue.  Since Verizon & Sprint both use the CDMA technology, I'm assuming that you're having the issue because you're probably "roaming" on Verizon's towers.  I recently moved from AT&T where my wife & I both had new iPhone 5's with LTE enabled and we never had an issue with the time & date resetting.  The only reason that I switched to Verizon was their exceptional "call quality" (at least in our area of Indiana) and never dreamed that I'd have this problem or I wouldn't have switched.

I'm not an expert so I could be wrong, but if you read all of the posts in this discussion or any other board on this issue I have not found one report of an issue with iPhone 5's randomly changing date/time on the AT&T network. I've seen about 99.9% Verizon, and the rest Sprint which tells me that it's a Verizon tower issue and Sprint users are suffering when they're using a Verizon tower that's not been "provisioned" correctly.

Anyway, best of luck to you because it looks like this issue is related to Verizon towers and some users who've stopped experiencing the problem appears to be due to their local Verizon towers being "corrected".  If that's the case, it might be a long, time before we're all back to having a phone that can use the LTE feature that we want without having to risk all of the problems associated with the random time/date issue.

Like other users have suggested, we need to just keep "bugging" Verizon until they solve this.

I received a call yesterday from VZW technical support re: my trouble ticket telling me that the next iOS release in December will correct the problem.

Whether it's a "Verizon Problem" or an "Apple Problem" (distinction without a difference, in my opinion) it requires an iOS update, apparently.

In OR, South of you, having the same problem with two Iphones 5. One, bought a month ago - one recent purchase, both on Verizon. It is unnerving how little effect does this issue bare on the carrier and manufacturer. Even the mass media is strangely numb on this issue. Very weird.

Well, I hope I'm not jinxing myself but I haven't had the time/date issue since upgrading to iOS 6.0.1 on 11/1/12 here in Wichita, KS.  I've left my LTE on continuously and have traveled throughout the city between 3G and LTE networks with no issues since.

And this morning I received the following email from Verizon:

"The issue you reported is resolved, Tkt#NRB000005724151. Please retry your service. If unsuccessful, call VZW 1 800 922 0204, option 3."

I'm not sure how they determined my problem was resolved since I have not spoken to them about it since the original trouble ticket date of 10/22/12 but I'm happy and hopeful this is a thing of the past.  I'm guessing each and every LTE tower on their network must be upgraded/updated to resolve the issue everywhere.  So just hold tight if you are still experiencing the issues and hopefully they'll get them all done quickly!
