OD and AD on shared IP space
We have an AD setup in place for all the Windows computers. Is it safe to startup an Open DIrectory on the same shared IP space? Will this cause issues?
Thank you

What do you mean by 'shared IP space'? Shared by whom?
Sorry to be veg. We have our DNS, DHCP, Domain, and other servers all on the same subnet. If add in an Open Directory will that mess anything up with the Domain controller since everything is pointing towards that server? Currently we have all the Window clients point to the main Domain controller then to an backup if that one isnt found. So if I add an OD to the group witll that mess anything up?
Thanks again.

Nope. Why do you think it would?
The other machines won't care about (or even see) the server unless they're told to look for it.
There's no differnence between adding an OD server to a network and adding almost any other server - you could add a web server, a DNS server, a file server... none of them will make one iota of difference until a client actually tries to connect to it.
