iPhone 5 Bluetooth issues with car

My iPhone 5 is having issues with Bluetooth and my car. It pairs with no problem and I can make calls with no problem. If my phone rings and I try to answer it with the car Bluetooth controls the call picks up then immediately goes back to listening to the radio... But the call is still connected and the phone thinks its still connected to "my car". So I need to quickly pick up the handset and switch the source to phone or the other person will hang up. If it helps the car is a 2010 Infiniti. Any ideas? I already tried re-pairing it. I also tried resetting the network settings.

Thanks in advance

This issue was caused by the firmware/hardware differences between the iPhone 4 and 5. Apple needs to recognize the issue identified by their customers in this forum and step up. If Apple is unable or unwilling to correct this issue then I have no choice but to revert back to an iPhone 4S at their cost. I will use legal action if necessary.

If you've got a lot of saved wi-fi networks, I'd say it's not worth attempting the network reset because you'll lose all of thsoe saved networks, and also this is just Apple giving you a run around. It does not work.

What does correct the problem is iOS 6.1, so sit tight and wait for the release. I have a 2012 CRV and installed the 6.1 beta(s) a few weeks ago. Since then, every single call I've gotten while in my car has been perfect through bluetooth. That's probably a sampling of 30-40 calls.

Every open forum has a few ignorant and immature members. My issue is with the dropped audio after 5-seconds on incoming calls through my car and motorcycle Bluetooth systems. According to a couple of helpful members, IOS 6.1 should fix my issue. I'll wait for it before trying anything else. If it does work, we were all correct that it is an iPhone 5 problem.

Not sure if someone already said this (did not read all 15 pages of posts) but I was having the same problem with my 2010 Infiniti ex35 and my iPhone 5 Bluetooth. I went to general settings > accessibility >incoming calls and changed to speaker rather than default. The phone now works with Bluetooth as expected in the car (I just push the answer button in the car and it picks up on bluetooth). The drawback is that it defaults to speaker for incoming calls when I'm not in my car but I don't mind pressing an extra button to undo the speaker button when not in my car. It was the extra steps to change the audio source while driving when I was supposed to be hands free that was a big pain. At least it's somewhat of a workaround for now
