My iPhone 3GS 16G on iOS 6 after update.
2 - 3 hours it's flat & thats from a full 100% (over night) charged phone with no use
& then keeps switching on & off for 20mins or so in charge mode after it's been pluged in to the charger.
Never had a problem on the old iOS 5.1.1 got up to 2 Days on standby .
Never had a problem with my phone ever until the new iOS 6 install. 😠
... GET IT SORTED APPLE PLEASE A.S.A.P

i am having iphone 3gs and also facing the same problem ..after updating ios 6 it switch off again and again, even on 100 % battery .. i might think if i uninstall the ios 6 and reinstall the previous version might solve this problem .. but i am not sure about this ..
Since updating my 3GS to 6.1.2 battery drain has improved, but only marginally, the problem is not resolved.
