10.8.2 and Epson printers

Snce updating to 10.8.2 I have not been able to use my Epson printers. The OS tries to lcoate and download the requried software, then reports failure. The Software Update defaults to App Store, then advises no updates are available. The Epson driver package unexpectedly quits just as it gets to the end of the installation process.

I have already reset the printer options, and repaired permissions.

Any tips?

that's cute, but if you actually search for the error given "epson printer utility 4 quit unexpectedly" the first search results that come up are the Apple forums and this thread is at the top.

The point of these forums is to help and your comment was not helpful.

Hi,

According to Canon's site the printer is not compatible with Mountain Lion as it is not isted below:

If your product is not listed below, it is not currently compatible with Mountain Lion.

You may try the 3rd party Gutenprint drivers which list the Epson Stylus T13 as supported and compatible with Mountain Lion:
