Mar 13, 2014 11:50 AM in response to Ray018by sunnshinne34,You should've kept the same Apple ID for your phone. I have the same problem so I'm planning on going to an apple store to see if they can fix the problem

Apr 13, 2014 2:05 AM in response to littlemoccasinby Auvo Sarmanto,Cannot update software in my iPhone 3gs (sw version 6.1.6) because App Store prompts always an obolete Apple ID which is dimmed. I can update software in the iPhone using my MacBook but the computer is not always available. I have changed the Apple ID but my iPhone using the Mac Book but the iPhone does not recognize this.
The crucial question is: How to get rid of the obsolete (old) Apple ID? The problem lies somewhere inside the iPhone. Has this something to do with software protection? Should I buy a new iPhone and leave the old working device which I like very much?

Apr 13, 2014 11:21 AM in response to Auvo Sarmantoby sunnshinne34,My old Apple ID was still on my phone. I am telling you now there is no way to just change it from your phone. I had to back up my phone onto my computer then delete everything on my phone. Then I uploaded everything back on and it reset my apple ID and iTunes and app ID. Everything was back on my phone and I could actually log in with my Apple ID. And it will delete any ringtones that you bought. I hope this helps.

May 21, 2014 6:27 AM in response to King_Penguinby multumesc,Thank you for the response. I tried that but it wants me to enter the password to my previous id to turn off "find my phone". The old id password does not work neither does the new. I've changed everything over in itunes and icloud on my computer but my phone is the only sticky point.

May 21, 2014 6:35 AM in response to multumescby multumesc,OK, figured it out (work around). I logged on to my new apple id on my computer (on the web), "find my phone". It found my phone on the map and as soon as that happened it allowed me to turn that function off on my phone. I then proceeded to do as King_Penguin suggested and it works.
