Keychain Problems 10.8.2

since upgrade to 10.8.2, thousands of certificates are being created in my keychain. all with the following format:-

com.apple.ubiquity.peer-uuid.12B9627F-3354-4241-B1C4-1BD17740032C

yesterday had 4000 of these in my key chain, I know they are created by ubd. Problem is that when the number gets very high ubd starts taking high amounts of cpu %.

I have restored my Keychain a number of times, but within minutes they are back again. I have tried locking keychain, but this justs results in ubd continually asking for access.

anythoughts on how i can fix this issue.

Turn off mobile documents. Google os x lion ubiquity and read the hits.

I have turned of the Documents and Data option within iCloud preference pane, this appears to have stopped the problem of certificate generation. However consequence can now access iCloud documents created on iPhone and iPad etc. Anyway to fix the problem, without losing iCloud sync ability?

Haven't a clue, since I don't do cloudy stuff—no iOS toys or other devices here.

If you want to report this issue to Apple's engineering, send a bug report or an enhancement request via its Bug Reporter system. To do this, register as an Apple Developer—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report or enhancement request. You'll get a response and a follow-up number; thus, starting a dialog with engineering.

Alternatively, File a bug reportwith Apple. That, however, goes through marketing and doesn't engender a reply. Who knows how long it'll take to get to engineering.

I encountered this problem as well moving to a new computer - login keychain with thousands of com.apple.ubiquity entries. In my case it was a permissions issue. I checked logs with Console and saw attempts to write to ~/Library/Application Support/Ubiquity folder were being blocked. Read & Write permissions on Ubiquity folder were set to System, not me (as user). Added me R+W. Ran permission fix in Disk Utility just to see if anything came up - nothing. Seems to be OK.
