iPhone 5 Showing incorrect Time. Unable to send text messages.

Ok here's my problem. My time on my iPhone is incorrect. I check my settings it's on automatic and it is set to my Hawaii time zone. I am unable to send text messages because I believe the time is not the same as the server. When I try to send a text it says Go to Date & time settings. This happens at least once a day. My time would be incorrect for 10 mins then go back to correct time. This happens on LTE and on WiFi. I also have rebooted the iPhone. One last thing. I check my battery usage. It's says 4,294,967,278 days on Standby. I guess the time is messing up my stats. Anyone have the same problem? Please help. If not I hope new ios update fix this.

I live in the UK and my 3GS has started playing up today. For me it makes no difference turning on or off 3G, or rebooting the phone, the fact is when ever I manually change the time and then switch 'set automatically' to 'on' it brings my clock forward by about 1 and a half hours. Luckily this was a lazy saturday as it completely fooled me, including by messing with the alarm. I am hoping turning off auto-clock will stop the problem.

I have had this phone for 3 years and it has never happened before, so must be a problem with the new IOS. Looking at the posts in this thread I'm not alone. This is UNACCECTABLE Apple! Sort it out please.

Also in Bloomington, IN on Verizon, same problem. Turn phone off & on to fix temporarily. Does appear to be a problem related to LTE, my connection to my home router goes in & out a lot, so my phone is frequently switching between wifi and LTE. Somewhere in there is when the clock changes, but I never seem to catch exactly when. Gonna wait it out, hoping for a fix in the next update.

I am having the same issue in Indiana on Verizon. I have found switching on airplane mode and flipping it back off makes the time update correctly. I have had the issue on 3G EVDO and LTE. I will be calling Verizon in the morning to log a case.

I am in Cartersville (about 15 miles north of Kennesaw on i-75) and have the same issue on the iPhone 5 w/ Sprint service. Powering off/on fixing it temporarily for me as well. I will attempt to disable LTE if I notice this happen again. It has happened 2 times already ( Im sure it will).

Try this it worked for me. I live in Panama City and was picking up Eastern time zone(New York).

In iOS 6 Settings>Privacy Settings>Location Services>System Services(at the way bottom)> Toggle "Setting Time Zone" ON

I don't think that will help. Mine has had this setting on since the day I got it and this problem still reoccurrs from time to time.

Although, now that I think about, it has been occuring less frequently over the last week or so than when I first got the iPhone 5 in September.

this is getting ridiculous. Ttied a new LTE card from verizon. still did same wrong time thing. today got new iphone from apple in mail they sent me . had verizon activate it tonight. At 7:45pm tonight i looked at it and it said it was 11:30am unfrigginbelievable. i dont know what to do. WHEN IS APPLE GONNA SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?????????????????

I AM SOOOO DISSAPOINTED. I START TRAVELING SOON AND USE PHONE FOR ALARM CLOCK AND FOR EVERYTHING. SOOOOO DISSAPOINTED.

How did you get a replacement from apple? I am totally dependent on the iphone for time, alarm, reminder, etc.... It's unacceptable.

Just called em and explained my extreme dismay. i do have Applecare but i told them this has nothing to do wth Applecare. they agreed. They said they have no idea if replacement would work but i insisted they send it for me to try at no charge whatsoever. IT DID NOT WORK... So dont bother. ive tried two phones and three LTE cards. Still same problem. And it is UNACCEPTABLE!!!! IT'S A JOKE! My PC-using, Droid-loving friends are laughin at me!!!!!

EVERY 3 HOURS APPX. MY PHONE GOES TO MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT... OFF BY ABOUT 9 HOURS 52 MINUTES. HOW NUTS IS THAT??????????????????????

I HAVE TO RESET IT EVERY 3 HOURS OR SO. CANNOT RELY ON FOR ALARM, APPTS.,

I am with Sprint in Roswell,Ga. I have the same issue. I was late to work twice finding my phone clock was changed 20 min early. I've called sprint and apple. No fix for it. I've heard setting time manually doesn't fix the issue. There is another thread talking about this but mostly it's people on Verizon network. Personally I think it's the phone. I can never hold LTE connection and have very poor 3G speeds. This is supposed to be a innovative phone but obviously this is not the case if my time and date can't be correct. This is stupid considering I spent time and money getting this phone knowing I can't even use a alarm clock on it. I'm about to

Give up on apple. Ever since Steve jobs passed away the company products are getting worse. They need to fix this now.

I'm Marietta here and mine is right around 20 min as well. Was going to switch back to android but missed my 14 day window. Guess I'll just cross fingers they find a fix soon. Unacceptable for a product to be released with so many bugs and only apology offered was for the map.

I turned off the LTE weeks ago when this started and time has been perfect ever since. Currently this is the only fix. I am on Sprint in Atlanta.
