Remote App for Iphone & Ipad not working properly with new IOS update

Eversince I updated the IOS of the Apple TV a couple of days ago I can not use the Iphone or Ipad remote app to play any of my video playlists that I had already created and used hundreds of times. If I select a title anywhere in the playlist to begin playback all I get is the app resetting itself to "connecting to" the apple TV devices; nothing will play. If I use the on-screen display to access the playlist then they work correctly, but that takes a lot more steps than what is needed with using the remote apps. PLEASE FIX THIS

I have no doubt the problem for me has been the IOS 5.1 update for the Apple TV. This problem started the first time I tried to use the "remote" app after udating the Apple TV software. I wish I never did the upgrade

Has anyone had any luck resolving this problem? I have the same issue with ATV3 where using the apple remote works fine so I know its not a home share issue, but when I use the app remote on either the iphone or ipad and try to switch songs or videos it kicks me out!

Same problem here with an ATV2. Used mostly to play video playlist for my disabled son. Apple hardware remote works fine. The Remote App works ok when using the "shuffle" function, but problem occurs when trying to select and play an individual video. Then the Apple TV blanks, the spinning "wheel" appears and it ends up at the top menu level again. Hadn't thought to check the forums before now; at least I can see that I'm not the only one with this issue.

I finally found a fix that worked...

I had to roll back to the previous version and now everything works like it used to! Its a sort of pain because its something we should not have to do because Apple continues to roll out updates that are full of bugs but at least its back to functioning properly.

Well since theres been numerous updates for ATV and the Remote App since my last post in November I decided to try the newsest updates and see if the issue is fixed...Of course its not! Still whenever I try to play a video from my playlist using the app or switch to a different video I immediately get bounced back to the main screen of ATV! How can 3 updates from Apple not have fixed this issue! I have all the latest firmware on atv, iphone and ipad and none of it works pertaining to videos, once again Im going to roll back to 5.0.2 and maybe in another 3 updates give it a try...
