Purple Haze on iPhone 5 Photos
How many of y'all are experiencing a purple haze on your iPhone 5 photos? I initially thought this was because I have a purple TPU case on the phone, but after removing it the haze was still there.
Anybody else?

I use a Canon 60D, 50D, Powershot Elph 100HS, iPhone 5 (upgraded from my iPhone 4), and the Canons do not cause this purple haze in the pictures I take. I have taken video with the 100HS, 60D, and the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5 produces this purple haze. The Canons do not.
I was tempted to go GS3 as well but while it does NOT have the purple problem I found the overall quality of the pictures to be less than the 5, purple or not I'm going to have to stick with it.
I have iphone4 and iphone5. Took pictures with the same lighting and both shows purple haze. With the flash on, NO purple hazes on both. You should try this your self to have a peace of mind. If you are not satisfied you still have time to return your iphone5 and get an Andoid.. :-))
Nope. I can confirm this isn't the case.
Have a look at the pictures posted with iPhone 4S and iPhone 5... VERY different.
Both iPhones have very different characteristics. They use the same camera, but the glass is different.
With all of the customer loyalty Apple has, it is sad that they would sweep this under a rug and basically turn their backs on customers with this problem. It is VERY INSULTING!
You're funny! Lol
Return your subpar hardware and purchase something you want.
BS, I have a 4S it doesnt have purple haze in any of lighting
What's so funny troll?
I want my iP5 but I want if to function properly. It shouldn't be this difficult to obtain a quick pic without having to shuffle around and find the correct angle so that there is no purple haze in the picture caused by out of frame lighting.
The topic of discussion should be, how does someone as ignorant as you become level 9 and have 63,850 points?
You are funny! 😁
Perhaps you should look up the definition of "troll" before spouting nonsense.
You wrote the hardware was sub par and Apple was somehow "sweeping the problem under the rug".
Obviously, one gets to level 9 by answering questions to the satisfaction of the original poster.
How does one stay at level 1 with zero points?
Let's be civil about this. If some people do not want to believe the camera has the problem far worse than the 4 or the 4S then fine. I personally believe, well I know actually, that the 5 has a serious issue with this and the fact that Apple seems to think this acceptable to be very disapointing.

I never suggested it does or it does not have a problem.
its a phone not a camera. and anyways, there was never a guarantee that there won't be aberrations. so what will the suit be about?
the camera could be junk and you still wont have a real case.
I got my second Iphone 5. I don't care but there is something wrong with camera. Keeps taking photos with a slight purple haze around photos. My previous iPhone 4S did not. Huff and puff all you like but Apple will need to sort it!
huff and puff all you like but no one 'needs' to do anything. you have the option of returning it and not buying it in the first place.
hey my car doesn't give me 27 mpg, it gives me 26.99 ..lets sue!
Threatening to sue? Who are you people, disgruntled Samsung employees? You mad bro? LOL
