Purple Haze on iPhone 5 Photos

How many of y'all are experiencing a purple haze on your iPhone 5 photos? I initially thought this was because I have a purple TPU case on the phone, but after removing it the haze was still there.

Anybody else?

I got my second Iphone 5. I don't care but there is something wrong with camera. Keeps taking photos with a slight purple haze around photos. My previous iPhone 4S did not. Huff and puff all you like but Apple will need to sort it!

Maybe you can calibrate the color on your computer monitor to reduce the purple coloring? Or switch to black and white? Just a thought.

are people still getting the purple flare issue if they are using a case on the phone, in which typically the camera now sits back a little inside the protective ring? Just curious since it seems from what I read that putting your hand over the phone to block some of the light might take care of the flare issue.....would the protective case around the camera act in the same way, or not? I don't have the phone yet, but I wanted to get it....just curious if people still have this issue with cases on.

Now consumer reports is helping apple sweep this under the rug. Look at the two shots I took (one with iphone 5 and one with ipad 3) CR and then try and write a truthful story.

I'm not suggesting there isn't an issue but..

How is

"The iPhone 5's purple-haze effect was no more pronounced than with the iPhone 4S or two Android-based smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx, when tested those under the same conditions, Consumer Reports said."

in any way "insulting"?

False statements to pander to big Apple are always insulting. You must not understand how consumer reports makes money?

I played with my office managers 4S today and was unable to replicate the purple haze to the extent of the iPhone 5. As you can see from my pictures above my iPad 3 shows no purple haze even with a direct shot into thd sun. The camera in the iP5 is a clear step backward.

Quit wasting my time troll. I have a few more hours of work to complete today so I can pay for your livelihood.

CR is a non-profit solely supported by subscription fees and donations. They have a solid reputation and follow a scientific approach. They were leading the charge against apple for iPhone 4 antenna problems.

You might be confusing CR with Consumers Digest.

Ah I see what's going on here. Wow nonsense? Tell that to the thousands talking about this topic all over the net. No I have not returned my phone and I'm not planning on returning my phone(s). I just want a fix to the issue at hand. It may just come down to a third party's decision if apple needs to act. Time will tell...

FWIW I have owned apple products going back to the 80's. QC has taken a nose dive as of late and if you knew who you were chatting with you would lose the attitude.
