Purple Haze on iPhone 5 Photos

How many of y'all are experiencing a purple haze on your iPhone 5 photos? I initially thought this was because I have a purple TPU case on the phone, but after removing it the haze was still there.

Anybody else?

What? Your posts are not making sense.

and if you knew who you were chatting with you would lose the attitude.

I am asking what is it about you that would make someone "lose the attitude" (especially when you seem to have the biggest here)?

how many sheelpe there are out there and what is wrong with this once great country,

What are "sheelpe" and which country are you writing about (since this is an international support forum)?

Again, you need to slow down, get your emotions under control, not let your anger get the best of you and post reasonable, understandable responses.

I need to slow down, ha maybe Apple and you the shill need to speed up.

Not angry just disappointed that this company is going down the same path as once great other companies not to be named. This will be my last response to your meaningless and unhelpful responses. Have a wonderful life trolling apple support boards.

As to your other queries, get a clue...

One last thing. I'm sure you haven't heard the term, happy wife, happy life, because I'm sure you don't swing that way. This was my wife's first iPhone coming from her company issued blackberry and she wanted a good camera, and I told her she would get a good camera. Well apple didn't give us a good camera with the iPhone 5 and she is not happy.

The lens is he problem and in a few weeks I'll have the scientific evidence to prove it without a doubt.

What ya got now smurf?

I don't care if you are a "swinger" or not.

These are Apple support forums. Your posts are pretty likely to (again) get deleted.

You really don't seem to be able to read and comprehend very well. I never said there wasn't an issue.

What "scientific evidence will you have? And if/when you get the "scientific eveidence", then what?

Apple and others have already stated it does what it does. Why do you scientific eveidence?

What ya got now smurf?

Is this supposed to be some type of an insult? Why?

Can't you have a rational discussion without getting upset and insulting others?

Now that was a good response. I'm starting to like you Chris from Cali. Again and FINAL all I want is a great camera in the greatest phone ever built. Right now I don't have that because purple haze is in many of the shots. All I want is Apple to acknowledge and fix. You know they will just sell the refurbs in some third world country. Where is the loss besides Tim Cooks ego?

Ah I see what's going on here. Wow nonsense? Tell that to the thousands talking about this topic all over the net

and if you knew who you were chatting with you would lose the attitude.

Two points which bring the credibility of the poster into question:

1. You think because "thousands talking about this topic all over the net" makes it something that is valid rather than viral? Seriously? So, that means that the uprising around that absurd 15 minute video that no one in the universe would have ever known about, save for the internet, was valid because it went viral? Get a grip....

2. You have such delusions of grandeur about yourself that you think that we give a rip who you are (or think you are)? Again, you need to put things in perspective, my friend. We wouldn't care if you were the Pope or President Obama - this is a user forum, and there are no titles or ranks here. Just people trying to help people (all over the globe, I might add - to underline Chris's point about what "great country" you were referring to....)

That's all I have to say....

Sorry Apple, not impressed with this Phone, I have had an Iphone for years and was taking candid pictures with my phone as I thought It to be comparable to my old canon camera, but the qulaity of the picture when dealing with that haze, even when taking steps to reduce it, is still baffling / annoying that this new camera would still be beaten in the quality of the shot overall by an old unit, I just updated from a #GS and thought this would be a better phone, no glare on the old phone as well..

yikes I say..

Had coffee with someone today who took a lot of pictures with her iPhone 5 yesterday. She had no idea what I was talking about regarding purple lens flare. But then again she purchased a Speck case for it immediately which sets the camera far enough back that it acts like a hood. She has never seen purple lens flare.

Mine is not in a case and if I intentionally shoot a bad picture into the sun or lighting I do get it. The trade off of having a really thin phone which the camera lens flush with the body, the filters set to enhance photos with the flash and the sapphire glass. I'd rather have the enhanced protect for the lens (once it is scratched there is nothing you can do) and the better flash shots.

So get a Speck case, or similar one that hoods the lens, and you won't have to worry about it. Or shoot pictures properly. Or get a real camera. You have lots of options.

Your people?

Where did I say it is sub-par to Apple's standards? It is a far better camera than was in the iPhone 4 I had and takes far better pictures with the flash. If you know how to properly shoot pictures it works great, if you don't not as much. Apple can't change the laws of physics, if the phone is thinner and the lens is closer to being flush with the body you will get lens flare. "Your people" can't change this.
