Alternate Apple ID

I just did the new update to ios6, went to the icloud and there is an alterate apple id email that is NOT mine attached to my icloud.

How does one delete that, i have spent the last 3 days looking, searching and banging my head on the desk trying to get rid of it.

This is frusterating, i sure do not want them to get ahold of my contacts, pictures, imessages, etc.

Please any help will be appreciated.

I am having the same issue, however my alternate is my *other* email address.

My list of devices that have my AppleID tied to are:

  • iPhone
  • iPad
  • MBP
  • MacMini

I am signed into iCloud as well as iMessages on all devices (meaining I use Messages/iMessages on all devices). I am currently checking if this alternate email address is due to the fact that I am still signed into one of those devices using this alternate email address. This would coincide with the issue Apple has had with an iDevice still being tied to an iCloud account even after the device is signed out of that iCloud account. Meaning the iCloud email address is essentially "sticky".

Note: I did have to manually go into my iMessage list of addresses on my iPhone and iPad and delete this "alternate" email address.

I'll post again after I check my MacMini (not at home currently).

I have the same problem. I spent more than an hour with Apple Support today. They tried several time to remove my Alternate email address but weren't able to. We were able to delete the alternate email address but after refreshing the page it would appear again. They said they have forwarded the matter to the Technical team. The techinical team will take atleast 4 days to reply back. WOW!!!

Hey everyone, I thought I would join in on the fun since I have what I believe is a similar issue. I noticed my Apple ID was missed spelled so I was trying to fix it but got no where. I went through all the steps mentioned in these posted and tried deleting the ID at the iCLoud website and no joy. Also the extra mile and tried fixing the problem through Mail and Systems preferences and no joy.

Well, if anyone figures this out it will be gladly appreciated.
