iPhone 5 push email problem
I have a corporate email account and gmail account setup on my new iPhone. Push works for about an hour or two after every hard reset. Is anyone else having this issue?

Verizon, Sprint or AT&T?
In my case, AT&T, but it was not specified in the other discussions as far as I could see.
I've seen some others mention Verizon only issues.
Hope to see a fix soon.
I am on AT&T, iPhone 5 for 2+ months and have never experienced a problem with PUSH from Exchange server - until I downloaded the new OS yesterday. Now I can't get it to work at all.....
Are you listening apple? Hello?
I had the problem with exchange pushing from when i first got my iPhone 5 in November. I tried all kinds of things and finally got it to work. (Taking off the passcode was most effective, but that only worked for so long; also changing the sync period, turning on and off notifications, all that stuff) I finally had it working, and than i downloaded this IOS update (which I thought was supposed to fix this problem) and BAM it started again.
I went to an Apple Genuis Bar and they had no idea what i was talking about but you can tell on line this is a fairly common problem.
I had my EXCHANGE server account linked to both iCloud and my iPhone 5. Both were set to PUSH. I changed the iCloud setting to MANUAL and immediately had PUSH back up and running to the iPhone - at least for now.....
Hello People,
I think I found out whats going on here. I called Apple because my iphone 5 wasn't pushing my UC Davis email but my Gmail was working just fine. Apple said its not something on their end because everything else is working fine. I looking around my UCD email setting>Advanced> its has no push setting; only manuall. So i changed my maunal setting to every 15 mins and now its working fine. I am not sure if other people are having problem with email accounts that are not gmail or icloud but it has to do with the server settings from the various emails.
Hope this helps.
I've tried the iCloud fix and it did not work.
Setting everything to manual is not a fix either, no disrespect. This is an Apple problem, that they need to fix. It's pretty absurd. We've stopped buying iPhone 5s in my enterprise until they patch this.
dumbest thing I've ever heard... turn off Push and it will work. Of course it will work - that's called Fetch. I don't want Fetch.
Frank -- this appears to finally be fixed with ios 6.1. Have you tried it?
Hi. I'm having this issue too, but on an iPhone 4........it's always worked in the past without issues but I noticed it the other day. Turning on airplane mode and back off again fixes it for a little while, as does closing the mail app. As soon as I view an email, and mail app is running in background, it stops pushing again. It was happening on iOS 5.1.1, and I updated to 6.1 which seemed to fix the issue (so i thought), but now it's started happening again a couple of days after I've updated. Is anyone else still getting this issue because it's terribly frustrating?!
I have noticed this issue with gmail, I now use thexyz webmail and push works great even with my iphone 5.
