iphone 5 won't send mms

There are probably a thousand and one issues that could cause a problem of iPhone 5 not sending MMS. You just need to find the right solution that fixes your particular issue. Apple support just walked me through the following steps which resolved my issue:

1) Turn off iMessage.

2) Turn off iPhone and restart.

3) Turn on iMessage.

Aha! Thanks to this sharing, I was able to solve same problem and found that picture messaging was blocked on my account...an old preference done many years ago. When I tried to unblock it on my acct online, I couldn't but I did live chat and he could. (I did live chat before reading this and he didn't come up with your solution) ALL is well now: pictures going thru to non iphone contacts too. Thanks so much!!

i had this problem i just go to my celluler data setting and made it on

Same problem with my daughters phone 5s. 4 iphones on the account, 3 worked fine. Hers was unable to send or receive group messages that included non iphones. Finally figured out that the settings on her phones account with verizon was set to blolck premium texting and texts with pictures or videos, which is weird because she could send pictures to other iphones. But I unchecked the boxes to block that stuff and messages are working fine now. In your online verizon account you go to My Plans and Services, then Family Safeguards and Controls. It's then under Block Services, View Details, then pick you phone number to see what's blocked. Uncheck an boxes.

When my iPhone 5 wouldn’t send MMS messages I was able to fix it by upgrading my carrier. Works great now.
