iTunes Match subscription says expired

I just got the iPhone 5 and I have iTunes Match subscription until July of 2013. So plenty of time left and I have it turned on on my phone and when I'm on wifi it seems to work fine but if I'm on cellular data after about 20-30 minutes of using it it says my subscription is expired and everything stop working. I haven't tried to call apple yet but it's extremely frustrating. Anyone know what's going on?

Apple should give people that subscribe the first year some type of discount, I understand iTunes Match is rather new. But like Tim Cook mention in the letter for Maps fiasco, we hold Apple to a higher standard.

I like iTunes Match, I enjoy having my music collection wherever I'm at. But, I can only imagine for those who's on cellular for a long period of time. I'm usually around Wifi, so it's not as huge as it could be if I couldn't access it at all. But, regardless of it all. I don't wish to have a refund, if I plan on renewing in the upcoming weeks. Why should I? When been getting issues these past weeks..

Hopefully they iron out the bugs very soon.. I really do enjoy iTunes Match. It's definitely worth it, when it works!

I hope things work out for you after setting up your phone as a brand new phone. I did the same thing about three weeks ago. It was a pain in the *** but it solved the problem. It was worth it as I usually use itunes match in my car (over cellular). It worked fine for about a week and then, suddenly, the same problem came back. It's once again unusable over cellular. FYI: I have an iPhone 5 with AT&T unlimited plan.

I've been having the same issue as everyone else for about three weeks now. I first called Apple Care, who transferred me to the email iTunes support. The last email I got from them was that the person I was in contact with didn't know how to fix the problem so he was passing it on to his supervisor, to which I haven't heard from yet. If I hear anything from them, I will soon to post it. A brief synopsis of what's going on in my situation:

AT&T customer (grandfathered unlimited plan)

Apple iPhone 5 (iOS 6.0)

iTunes match renews mid April

The problem, like many others only happens when I am connected to the cellular connection. Under wifi, it works perfectly. Once I leave wifi, it stays connected for a few minutes, then gives the dreaded message that I am not subscribed to iTunes match.

As far as settings goes, under iTunes and App Stores, I have Use Cellular Data toggled on, which the Apple rep suggested I do. I did that and problem still persisted. That's my situation, which sounds like is very similar to others as well. Once I hear from the supervisor, I will post what he told me. Hopefully they can fix this, and soon. I purchased a 16GB model because of iTunes match, (due to 20GB of music streaming).

On Monday this week, I called AT&T tech support for iPhones. The rep did not specifically mention that he was aware of the iTunes Match issues, but he did reset something on their end. He askedme to power the iPhone off while still on the call with him. I did this, and left it off for about 1-2 minutes. After powering back on, I went into Music settings, and turned iTunes Match back on. It has worked perfectly on AT&T's network since then. Someone on this thread reported earlier this week that Apple's engineers are already working on a fix for this, which will be added to a future iOS update. I think the best thing to do if you're having this problem is to do what I did. Call AT&T, and have their techs perform the same reset that was performed when I called. After that, just be patient. You'll drive yourself nuts worrying about this. Don't restore your iPhone. That won't help. iTunes Match has worked perfectly for 4 days now.

It's been working for me since Monday 11/5 when I called AT&T support. One other thing I did after iTunes Match started working again is call Apple's customer relations department, and request that they work on getting better support for Apple's digital services. I'm a paid member of iCloud too, and if I need support for it, I'm stuck with emailing support, getting a copied and pasted uninformed response back, getting angry, and then finally getting someone who actually read what I wrote in to fix my issue. Each time I've contacted iTunes support, or iCloud support, it takes at least a week to get something resolved. Apple for some reason does not devote many resources for support. This needs to change. If we pay for something, we should be getting top notch support.

This problem is not exclusive to AT&T. I just received the message this morning on my Verizon iPhone 5. I bought this pone 2 weeks ago and up until this morning, I had not had a single problem. My Match account does not expire until December, so this is not part of the problem, in spite of the message which appeared on my phone this morning. I will upgrade to 6.2 tonight and see if it helps.
