Green glow on iPhone 5 unlock screen?

I've had my iPhone 5 for a few days now and I've noticed this issue more and more. Whenever I wake my iPhone there is a split second where a green glow around the edge of the screen is visible. It's a bit like light leakage but its green and only appears for a fraction of a second after you turn on the screen. It is also sometimes activated by using the slide to unlock, which makes it glow brighter.

Does anyone else have this happening with their new iPhone? I don't know if this is the start of a defect or not... I have had very rare graphical flickering and tearing of the keyboard UI, but that's only happened once or twice and only for a second, as soon as I started typing it went away.

It looks like this might turn into a trip to the Apple store, I just wanted to know if anyone else has noticed this weird phenomenon on their new iPhones.

As mentioned earlier on in the thread I visited the apple store in Sindelfingen today and was disappointed once again!

After trying out several replacement units, which all showed the green glow upon quick examination I was told that it seemed to be a software problem which is supposed to be fix in a future update?! Personally I'm not buying it! In my opinion it can't be a software issue because the green glow works even if the OS isn't fully booted/ during the boot screen.

After arguing with the "genius" about the origin of the problem for almost 5 minutes, I left the apple store with my original iPhone and hopes for a real replacement...

Going back in 2-4 weeks with a final request for a fixed device...or else I'm requesting an update to the 5s as it comes out... ;)

I thought I could reproduce it - until today: I went to the apple store and wanted to show the green glow to the genius. Nothing! I turned it off, let it asleep. Nothing. Kept it warm cold etc, tried everything macncheese said, the guy took it to the darkroom. No green glow. Stood there like an idiot, went home with the iphone, switched it on. Guess what? Greeeeeeeeen glooooohooooow. I am depressed now.
