iOS6 has ruined my iPhone!!

The new update has ruined my iPhone 4S. My wifi is greyed out so I can't turn it on. None of my game apps will open. When someone calls me now they cannot her me. And, now my battery drains 100 times faster than it did before the update. No one at apple has released a fix nor commented on these issues which have apparently happened to MANY people. My phone was working perfectly and didn't have a problem until yesterday when I installed the update. Now, I get to spend a few hours of my time, in line at the apple store tomorrow.

Apple, please acknowledge this is an issue and resolve it ASAP. The only letter or acknowledgement has been about Google maps. I can't use any maps now bc my phone is ruined. These updates should be tested on several hundred phones before rolling out to the public to ensure any possible bugs are resolved beforehand. Please do or say something to your customers before you lose more to the android.

UPDATE: I went to the apple store on Saturday. The tech advised that the wireless card had died in my phone and that is what caused the problem. He said that the card was probably dead before the upgrade but that the upgrade made it come to light. He immediately replaced my phone which was luckily still under warranty. The new phone is still working on iOS 5.1, and although he said it wasn't the upgrade, I'm still scared to do the upgrade again. I will go ahead and do it though since it's still under warranty, just in case it does it again.

For everyone having the same problem, where your WiFi button is greyed out, you must take the phone to apple. All the other suggested resolutions will not more than likely not work since it is apparently a hardware problem. Good luck everyone! 🙂

I had a similar problem but locked my phone completely. Rang Apple and was told I would have to wait 2 weeks to see a techie at either Regent Street or Covent Garden. As this is a business phone and being incommunicado for 2 weeks is wholly unacceptable position doorstepped Regent Street. They tried to factory restore 3 times but couldn't and informed I would need a new phone. Of course they couldn't just give me one, I needed to make an appointment (2 week wait remember) so that they go through their processes. In the end got a loan phone from O2 and sent for repair via them. They have informed me out of warranty by 2 months so that will be £119 please!!!!!

Frustrated by Apple customer service. Did they actually do proper AIS testing for iOS6 considering the number of problems experienced. Also love being told that considering there are 10m handsets UK the problems I am facing are insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Doesn't actually help me but nice to know that my business and the level of inconvenience I am faced with has no bearing on Apple!!!!

I will never buy another Apple product again if this is the level of customer service you can expect.

BRING ON ANDROID!!!!
