mlb.tv: problems watching mlb.tv with quicktime and flip4mac

MLB.TV ***** on a lot of levels -- really, it's hard to put into words my contempt for the people who run that site. But I'm also a serious baseball fan with broadband internet but no cable TV.

So... this season I'm even more ****** than usual. MLB stopped supporting Realplayer (without telling us until after taking our money, which is typical of these a-holes) and the one player they now support (windows media player) won't play full screen on the Mac.

So I downloaded the free version of Flip4Mac and started using Quicktime (I have Pro).

Problem is, the quality stinks. It is far far worse than Real or Media Player. Video speeds up and slows down. Audio runs faster than video. Sometimes the players move in slow-mo. Sometimes all sped up like in some old comedy movie. Slow-mo seems to happen especially when increasing size of the window. There are other issues too.

What's the deal? Is there a way to make Quicktime work better for MLB.TV? Please help!
