I cannot search in app store since ios6 update.

Same thing with me. My New iPad is giving me a white screen in App Store searches. It started last night but my iPhone 4S having iOS 6 is working fine. I tried the restrictions and other wifi spot suggestions but they didn't resolve the issue. Since we are all talking about iPhones and iPads with the same problem, I think it is a iOS6 issue concerning multiple devices

Yeah, its most def an IOS6 issue. Not the first bug with the App store for me either as I kept having those "Conncetion" issues since updating but they r easily fixed although they r a pain. However, this issue makes us unable to purchase new Apps. We can update the ones we have already but cant buy new ones. I figure, even if its not all that widespead, Apple will fix it soon (hopefully) cause they r losing out on the almighty dollar. IOS6 have been buggier than a rotting corpse. Ive never had problems with any other Apple OS as ive had with this crappy update. I guess rushing it out for the Iphone5 made for some QC issues.

It started happening to me on 10/12/12, too.

I was trying to download apps from the Free App Friday for kids - I like to try new stuff for my son.

I upgraded to iOS6 on my iPad2 last weekend.

Only my Updates tab works... all the rest just freeze. In fact, now it's causing the iPad to crash.

Does the issue impact those of us who have multiple devices with one apple log in? My spouse, my son and I all share one apple/itunes account - but we have three separate devices... any thoughts about that?

I dont believe so Elise. Im the only one who has access to my Itunes acct n only have one apple device hooked to it lately. Just the iphone thats having this problem. However, my appstore has not crashed, it just doesnt show anything except the updates n charts section. After that its just a plain white screen. It started last night for me as well. Long story short I went to apple store and they of course never heard of the problem. They did the restore in dfu mode and its working again. Came home and did the same on my iPad and both for now are working.

If my issue persists i will have to go to Apple store but dont have the time in next couple of days. Im not gonna do that myself cause i dont wanna screw up anything by tinkering. Im hoping the problem fixes itself just as it arose out of nowhere also.

I am assuming that the restore from DSU mode wiped out your data and that you needed to restore from your backup? If so I think i will wait a few days to see if it magically comes back as it seems yo have done for others.

Hey Elise, kinda the same story here. My App Store search does not work on my New iPad and neither does charts. However; purchased, genius, and updates do work. The only average solution I've seen thus far is to go to the apple store. As bad as I hate to, I reckon that's what I'll do.

Yes it wipes it. Did an iCloud back up right before. Wasn't that painful.

Paid a lot for this, so as far as I'm concerned it's on them to make sure it works eloquently.

Thanks. I have not done a backup in about a week or so. Don't want to backup now as i am thinking it may get introduced back to the restored phone. I will wait it out a bit.

I noticed after my post I'm not the only one with issues. Mines in the iTunes Store search, not apps, and on ipad 3, not on iphone. And I'm not a fan of all these DFU mode things...seems a patch for what is a bigger issue. I tried all of the easier suggestions all to no avail. I have other iPads working just fine.

I've been able to get everything else to work but search. And I can subvert that problem by going into Safari and putting into search for whatever song or group "on iTunes" and it gives me a link to it. By clicking it, you can get into iTunes for some of the items, but not all. And if you try to navigate around from that, you can get around but a new search locks up again. So I'm not totally out of commission. I'm not risking hours of restore work or time for the patch work efforts like DFU mode, etc. or going to apple and hear the proverbial "oh we haven't heard about this issue,". Seems a waste of time. Apple should have heard this by now and know of it and try to figure it out. Especially when some posts find it fixes itself.

So we can't buy apps anymore.....is this a first apple virus???

My first try at apple, just got the iphone4s as my contract was ready and all I hear is iphone this and ios that.

What cr@p! Siri takes more time loading the map then me driving there. I can access half of the app store....and this is day TWO of my first apple product ever.
