I cannot search in app store since ios6 update.

I cannot search for apps in the app store since I updated to ios6.

The new Apple map app is terrible.

Shall I go on????

I loved my iPhone 4 ios5.

Apple please give us the option to restore back to ios5 until you fix the bugs in this crappy ios6.

Otherwise I may have to go to another phone.

Actually, you can search for and buy apps from iTunes on a computer, then you can download them from the Purchased tab on the iPad. If you turn auto-download on under iTunes and App Store in Settings, they will appear automatically on your device when you buy them on your computer. A right proper pain, but functional.

BTW, I sent Apple Support an email and they said they are working on it. At least they acknowlege it.

I started having this issue on 10/11/12. In the app store the only thing that shows up at all is the genius feature. Otherwise, all I get is a blank screen. I can't even get categories, tapping that button does nothing. I am on an iPhone 4. My husband got the same phone on the 11th, and his works fine. Very frustrating! First Apple product and I've had it just over a month. I miss my Android right now. 😟

Yep. Same issue. When I first updated to IOS6, the app store stopped working. Did a soft reset and all was good. Two nights ago was searching for apps and reading reviews, when suddenly all of the reviews went blank, so I exited the app store. Went back in and have been unable to access anything except a blank screen for all of the functions. Featured, Charts, Search all blank. I can access Genius and I'm able to update current apps, but that is it. I have done multiple soft resets plus I erased all data and did a restore to no avail.

Another user suggested buying apps from Itunes directly on your pc. I'm trying this now, but it is taking foreever to install.

Update: The app will not install.

Even if installing from ur pc did work, thats like buying a Ferrari then taking the bus. Your still getting to ur destination, but its a major pain in the butt n u didnt arrive in style. N what about the millions of iphone users who dont have pcs for this? Screwed i guess. I fortunately have a pc but Im not even trying it. That for me is just unacceptable. I bought the phone to work the way its supposed to. Not to spend my day finding then performing work arounds. Thankfully, a post from earlier said Apple acknowledged the problem. Like GI Joe said " knowing is half the battle".

GReyhaus here again. Issue seems resolved. I did nothing but wait and 24 hours after I posted my first reply here all seems well. I can search for apps see categories and charts. Full functionality of App Store restored on my iPhone 4S running iOS 6. Thanks to all for posting I'm sure it makes a difference. Apple seems to have fixed the App Store for everyone.

I cannot search in app store since ios6 update.
