Sep 29, 2012 11:43 AM in response to CaseyK75by grands1am,I had the same issue. I installed the update and now my hulu plus does everything but play movies/shows/etc. This is very disappointing that the 2 companies can't coordinate there updates...

Sep 29, 2012 4:56 PM in response to grands1amby CaseyK75,So, after doing some more research, I unplugged my ethernet cable and connect via wifi....it now works, but only if I connect via wifi.

Sep 29, 2012 5:18 PM in response to CaseyK75by mylittleflicka,Thank you Casey. Had the same problem after the update. Was on the phone with Apple support for one hour. Wouldn't restore, etc. had to bring the box in. Apple replaced the box, brought it home and Hulu still wouldn't play an actual video. Saw your post. Disconnected Ethernet cable, connected via wifi and now it works.

Sep 29, 2012 9:04 PM in response to CaseyK75by McMara,I'm having the same issue as well: after the ATV3 update Hulu does not play any video (but I can browse titles). Disconnecting ethernet and going to wifi works for me too.

Oct 5, 2012 3:06 PM in response to Kenneth Penkowskiby Mayor Bloomburger,Also fixed the problem here. Can someone post here when Hulu/Apple get their act together? I'd like to go back to a wired connection for the Apple TV

Oct 8, 2012 8:57 AM in response to CaseyK75by SaraKlaw,So, I always connect via Wi-Fi and my Hulu Plus is acting like all of yours. Anyone think I should try to connect via ethernet, then switch back to Wi-fi and hope that works? I'm really mad and Apple and its updates lately; after installing Mountain Lion I had to get a new modem after 2+ weeks of back and forth of Apple blaming my ISP and vice versa.

Oct 9, 2012 2:41 PM in response to SaraKlawby JSmith552,I also connect WiFi from the get-go and have no Hulu Plus since the update. I tried forgetting my network and then re-connecting from scratch: problem not solved. So then I tried forgetting the wireless network and connecting the Apple TV via ethernet (which I confess I did not know you could do!), and that did not solve the problem either. So, back to WiFi, thus replicating the steps taken by those above who had always connected by etherent and have now switched to WiFi to solve this annoying problem. And I'm now watching 'The Colbert Report' on my laptop, like the old days while Hulu Plus remains unavailable on my Apple TV. Massive Fail.

Oct 9, 2012 3:42 PM in response to CaseyK75by grands1am,Hmm, so it seems wireless works, and ethernet does not. Could it mean without an ethernet port the next gen apple tv could be even small/slimmer like the iphone 5... cool.

Oct 9, 2012 3:50 PM in response to JSmith552by SaraKlaw,I was able to reset my Apple TV and then just had to input my wi-fi password and Hulu info and it now works for me. Maybe that will work for you?

Oct 9, 2012 8:11 PM in response to CaseyK75by gtrogue,Same problem, same solution. Unplugging the cable and going to WiFi fixes the problem.
I sure hope Apple is hard at work on a fix for this. WiFi is a last resort connection for a streaming device and I want to use a wired connection.

Oct 10, 2012 4:00 PM in response to CaseyK75by Cyb3rJunkie,Same problem here. Unplugging Ethernet and using Wi-Fi works for me too. After the update and using Apple TV 2 or whatever the latest one is. Come on Apple/Hulu

Oct 10, 2012 7:14 PM in response to CaseyK75by Steven Platt,Same problem and fix. Connecting to WiFi resolved it for me also.
A couple of other video sources, including certain podcast feeds (CNET) were also broken after the update.
Connecting to WiFi brought back these also.
I hope they fix this soon.

Oct 13, 2012 8:04 AM in response to CaseyK75by cristump,I was having this problem with both Hulu & YouTube. Confirmed that the "fix" is to switch to WiFi. It's a reproduceable bug, Apple. I can switch between the two network connections and consistently get the behavior reported here. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next update.
