when login screen appears my keybord doesn't work so i can't type my username and password on my macbook

This happened to me too, i know teo easy ways to resolve it.

1. Hold down each button you press to type your password fro roughly 2 seconds and it will register, this applies to the 'enter' button too.

2. Plug in an external keyboard if you have a built-in keyboard, might not work for some.

Found a workaround. Temporarily you may use ur track pad or mouse and click on the password box before typing in a character. You will have to do this before typing each number or alphabet...

I figured this out too but my password starts with a #, I'm not sure if the shift key is registering. I still can't log in.

Does your password require you to hold the shift key at any point?

In my case after i finally managed to log in i see safari starting up but cant get it to stop, how did you manage it?
