Repeating a single song......

I just listened to my music on my iphone 4s for the first time since the ios 6 upgrade. I just chose a certain artist and selected all songs from that artist. I noticed that there was no option to repeat or shuffle all the songs and there was no option to repeat a single song that I had wanted to listen to a few times in a row. Am I just missing something on how to repeat a single song? I can not figure it out, is there anyone who has figured this out? Thanks!!

My screen has an extra bar with shuffle/repeat/genius and a position slider just beneath that bar at the top 😕

I'm going to see if I can find anything about this and report back.

This 4th gen iPod touch user had the same problem:

The poster there suggests tapping on the cover art. See if that works 🙂

The only thing is, I can't get mine to disappear to see if it works! I'm guessing Apple didn't see the need to be able to hide that bar now that the screen is longer in the iPhone 5.

I tapped the cover art and it just flips over to show the song playing (text only) if you know what I mean 🙂. I'm not sure why it would go away after the update. Maybe the same reason why the YouTube app went away after the update ha! I do know someone who works at Apple, I'll send her a message in a bit when it's not so early. Hopefully she can help, I'll let you know!! Thanks for the help I realy appreaciate it!! 🙂

I had the same problem and i just figured it out. I was double tapping on the cover art. You only tap once and you should get the controls to come up. It took me about 20 minutes to figure this out. Apple needs to get their act together it shouldn't be that difficult with no one knowing the answer.

Thanks Jingy - I've been getting frustrated with the same problem! So simple, but it works! Just tap the cover art once and the controls for repeat, genius and shuffle appear.

Fu ckin ios, the repeat button for music is hidden thats why people cant see it even me. To bring it up, Go to now playing screen, under the arrow( first row of the white screen) press or tap on it, the button will shows up.
