Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
My iPod won't show up on My Computer or iTunes. I wouldn't put it in disk mode because the iPod need to be connected to the computer properly to be restored. Please help. My iPod is iPod Nano 1st Generation.

I had the same problem and this trick worked for me:
- Plug-in your iPod via USB
- Open Finder
- Right-click on the device
- Choose "Rename" and change the name of your device
And that's it... magic! The device appeared in iTunes
I just recently bought a iPod nano 6th generation and mine won't show up on my computer or iTunes either. 😟 I tried everything in the iPod Troubleshooting Assistant and the suggestions given to me on the apple support webpage but nothing is working. But I'm sure the problem is with my computer because I connected my iPod to my sisters computer and it shows up on her pc..any suggestions?
