I uploaded the new iOS 6 and now my apps are all stuck at waiting and I can't do anything with them

    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.

    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.

    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

You are only able to download one thing from iTunes at a time. Therefore if you have a song or podcast for example that hasn't downloaded then the applications won't download.

If that isn't the solution to your problem then try logging in and out of iTunes on your device and then try to download again. This should rectify your issue.

Have tried everything and not working.  The apps were offered by Apple when doing the iOS6 update (most popular free apps).  Not sure what else to try.

    Try a reset:

    1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together)

    2. For about 10 seconds

    3. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)

Note: You may have to do the above a few times

What problem is that?  All Apple products have used only unicode fonts for many years now already.

    Hi Tom,

You are right. Unicode font have been used for many years.

We use Burmese Unicode fonts name Zawgyi Unicode font to view our language on web.

We use special apps (Mogok, Myanmar Browser lite) for viewing on iPhone and iPad as this font is not embeded.

They are OK to view all our language sites without problems prior iOS 6.

Now with iOS6, the problem comes.

Safari engine rendering for web pages causes those apps frozen.

If we type email with this unicode font, it is frozen.

Frozen means it freezes for 10 seconds on every action triggered from your touch.

    Imagine how annoying!

Not even that font, Apple approved Myanmar Unicode font also have the same issue.

    I have tested it already.

Here is the web link ( you can browse on iOS Safari and you won't see the language display but you will see what happening. If you download the apps that I have mentioned, you will be able to view the fonts.

I can send you test email and see the problem in Mail App as well.

This is not only happening on my iPhone and iPad...I have called my friends, and all have the same issue.

So, it is clearly A BIG BUG.

I love Apple products. But now I am very very frustrated how they manage, how they release products and softwares.

I have never seen it is released recklessly.

I don't find "Attention to Detail" anymore.

We are now holding back and reviewing for our next gadgets.. Thank you Apple.

Have you sent feedback to Apple?  I am sure they would not normally test those special apps.  I have not seen any reports of similar things happening for any other fonts.

I did not those apps yet, but the app I do have, called iMyanmar, does not seem to freeze on that website.

Send me a test email to tom at bluesky dot org.

    Hi Tom,

It is not only happening on those apps. Mail also jerky and Safari as well.

I have sent several feed backs, no response.

All are focusing on Maps..not others..

    I agree with zawhtway,

Apple is so neglecting, and whenever I use the system apps like mail ( coz I have many friends who use myanmar unicdoe), the mail app becomes freezed up and it is so annoying. The same thing happens whenever system app is related to myanamr unicdoe( Eg. When i use safari to surf some unicode website). I also send feedback to apple about this problem, hope at least they care for one of handful customers.

    I aslo agree with zawhtway,

One of my friends sent me a message containing burmese unicode and now my phone can no longer open message app

  • zawhtway Level 1 (0 points)

    Myo Thein Oo,

Open your email on your computer and delete there. Then your Mail App will be OK.

Watch out emails with Myanmar Fonts.

Thanks Ko Zaw Htway. But how about message app? I got a message containing Burmese characters and now my message app no longer work. I mean freeze and crash. How to solve this issue bro? I've many crash logs on my iPhone. How to report them to apple?

  • zawhtway Level 1 (0 points)

    Hello MTO,

Are you not able to open Messages App AT ALL? It is bad.

All Apps are which use Web Kit (Web page rendering engine) are frozen with our fonts.

Some apps which displays like regular text are not affected.

    Options I can think of are;

    1) Do you have an iMac? You can setup Message on iMac and delete all the messages there.

    2) Delete or disable your Messages services (may be throught iCloud setup on iphone). Then enable again. I am not sure all the previous messages will be deleted. But give it a shot.

3)How can you read Myanmar Fonts on Messages? I think Zawgyi fonts are not viewable...right?

Who sent you those? Tell them not to send it again in Myanmar .

Currently, there is no fix. If not, no way to do. Apple won't downgrade your iOS.

If Apple won't fix this issue, I'll abandon all iOS devices in near future.

    Those are useless now.

To submit error report, in Setting, turn on  "Anonymous Error reporting".
